Using it for years
Been using this product for years... Started at £25 about 7 years ago obviously due to British pound going down in value the price has risen. Still a good price. High carb shake with minimul sugars. I have bought similar products from Holland and Barrett and The sugar content is half the carb intake. I went from 10st to 17 on this in few years I have been taking. I bulk in winter and this helps... after a high calorie breakfast I also down one of these. People say it doesn't go well with water. No protein shakes you will ever take will taste well with water. I use 350ml water 250ml milk and it tastes good! I did a bulk last year I was 15.5st and went upto 18.5 by summer. I gained 1st extra in muscle. I went down to 16.5 off bulk and stayed at that weight even on The cut. I have around ,18% body fat. 22in winter. Also buy serious protein to add that extra 25g to the protein intake. 1.5-2g of protien per kg of body weight. If you not making gainz then you probably not doing this. This product has helped me a lot through out the years and I stand by serious protein and serious gainz to make my gainz.

Feedback +Techie recipe for the guys complaining
I want to provide the way I'm using it because I seen some negative feedbacks, and this product doesn't deserve it. This is STRICTLY FROM MY PASSED EXPERIENCE IN MASS BUILD UP, I used to do some sports about 5 years ago but now I don't want to let it go .It's as expected , I like it. The flavour is not to strong but I don't care . Rich source of carbohydrates and protein, however i'm using it in a different way other than recommended by seller. Whenever I buy protein suplements I ALLWAYS LOOK FOR PROTEIN, PURE PROTEIN AND CARBS -NO MATTER WHAT BRAND I'M USING , the rest of vitamins and minerals and folic acid and so on if they are present in the protein mixture can be easily obtained from multivitamin + mineral complex . I bought this because it can really help put on mass and I don't want it to waste. I followed Arnie's Schwartzie on how he used to take in protein . Eat 4-5 times / day normal quantity's of food (not to much to be very full) and than only when i'm hungry (I don't wait untill I'm to hungry or the body will use the stored mass to feed itself , wich is a regresal) than I take about 4-5 times / day about 1,5 scoops of powder mixed with milk 250ml (because if i get to much powder and fluid at once some of them will just go thru the body while I want them absorbed and not wasted . Add to that some daily calcium, vitamines + mineral complex and overall if I get 1500+calories from food, 1000 calories from protein + the ammount that I get from Whole milk (1 litter or more in very spaced intervals and 250ml / glass when i drink the proteins and on empty stomach to not have stomach problems) results in My equation Calories Intake - Calories used(by daily activitys, work, workout etc) = Mass intake or Mass loss (If you also don't get sufficient food and rely only on the proteins, than you won't achieve anything) . I was the type of person that would have a very very hard time to put on any weight, but with this kind of mixture I used to put 8-9 Kg in 2-3 months and then waited a few months for the body to go without proteins so it clears up, than back on proteins again to keep my mass constant or going up. Love it , will buy again . RECOMMENDED .

Great for muscle growth, but with A LOT of carbs.
I started using this after a severe acute spinal condition and emergency spinal surgery left me with around a 17kg loss of lean muscle mass. Once I had a go-ahead to exercise safely, I got back to the gym and got into serious weight gain territory. After 3 months I had gained 7kg of visible lean muscle. I’m 66 years old, so wasn’t expecting any rapid gains. My gym routine and strength progressed rapidly, and the muscle growth continued, but I’ve noticed my body fat has also started to increase, so I’m switching to Serious Protein from here on out, to lower the level of carb I’m taking in. Sugar content in the ‘Gainz’ product is seriously high, and will add to your body tissue makeup, as it has with me. The whey protein route is widely accepted as great for muscle building support, and both products tick that box. Quality and flavour are faultless, although I suppose flavour is a very subjective topic. The powder mixes well with water or semi-skimmed milk (for extra protein) in any decent protein drink shaker. The lid seals very tight, so the contents stay fresh for as long as the 5kg lasts you. Recommended for weight gain, but might add to body fat more than you want.

Disappointing
I've been using protein supplements for years without any problems, mainly sticking to trusted brands like Optimum Nutrition and Bulk—both of which have worked really well for me, aside from being a bit pricey. This time, I decided to try something new because it looked good on paper and was more affordable. I gave it a fair shot—used it consistently for almost a month hoping my body would adjust—but honestly, it's been one issue after another. I don’t usually leave reviews on Amazon, so the fact that I’m writing this should tell you how strongly I feel. I just want to help others who might be thinking of switching to this brand for the first time. Here’s my honest take: 1. The value for money and the nutritional profile seem decent at first glance. 2. The taste is poor—grainy, doesn’t mix well, and has a chalky texture. 3. It doesn’t sit well with my stomach at all. I’ve felt unsettled after nearly every use. 4. It feels more like I’m taking medicine than a supplement—no enjoyment in it whatsoever. I regret trying to save £10 with this purchase. It just wasn’t worth it, especially since I’ve noticed fewer results compared to when I used Optimum Nutrition or Bulk. If this product works well for you, that’s great—everyone’s different. But if you’re considering this as your first protein or thinking of switching brands, I’d recommend proceeding with caution. Thanks for reading—hope this helps.

Thought I’d try a different protein powder and I’m sure it will do the job, But it does not mix well at all and there is very little in the way of chocolate taste. In fact it doesn’t really taste that good as you can taste more of the oat based ingredient. Find a different protein powder to buy and I’ll be going back to my usual one.
