Great tool! Sturdy, easy to use, and it makes balloon tying fun!
This thing is amazing! I was unsure how it would work out when I purchased it, but I was having to do balloon bouquets for work and decided to take the risk. I am VERY glad that I did. I have had to do other bouquets for various occasions and tying the balloons always destroys my fingertips. I end up with broken nails, or peeling skin on my fingertips (regardless of my technique) since I have to do so many at a time. Now with this awesome thing I no longer have that issue! I just used it to tie over 30 balloons today and it worked flawlessly! The instructions make it seem a little more complicated than it actually is, and even though there are pictures it's hard to explain until you actually tie one. After your first balloon, it is incredibly easy, but the instructions made me feel like I needed more than two hands. So, just in case this might help someone, here is how it works: You pull the end of the balloon just like you would if you were tying it by hand. I usually put the three fingers on my left hand into the red handle while I'm doing this so I don't have to pick up the tool while I'm holding the balloon. Then stretch the balloon end over the protruding red piece once and tuck the very end of the balloon into the notch on the black piece (it is located just behind the red piece). Then you just pull the black piece out which pulls the end of the balloon through the loop that you made on the red piece. Voila! The only time you ever have any problems is if the balloon loop tries to slip off the red piece, but you can just rewrap it and put a finger on the red loop part to hold it still while you pull the end through. It's also pretty sturdy and made of thick plastic. I didn't feel like I was in any danger of breaking the tool while I was tying and it seems very durable. All in all, I am happy with the purchase. This is one gadget that actually does what it claims to do, and is very well made. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for any type of balloon tying device because it definitely makes tying easier and much quicker.

The only way to do it
This is the only way to tie balloons at scale. We inflated several hundred balloons to fill our sunken living room and this kept our hands blister free! It does take some practice to figure out the right motions, but once you have it down it is super fast!

Saved my fingers
I used these to the balloons at a church event. It took a few tries to get it right but once I did it was quick and saved my fingers. I also had several others who used this tool and they all said it was quicker and easier than tying with your fingers. this tool appears to be designed for right handed people only but since I am right handed, that works for me.

Tying Tool
I can see that this device might be helpful to someone with arthritic hands, or if you have to tie significant quantities of balloons. For me it was not quick but it was fairly easy.

OMG OUTSTANDING TYING TOOL. works on double water balloons also. FANTASTIC
So glad that I bought two to try. There is a video on YouTube "Balloon tying tool simple tie". It's just a few seconds long and show you exactly how to use it. I blew up several balloons just to try it out. I keep my thumb and forefinger on the front side, near me, to hold the balloon. Then holding the balloon close to the tool wrap it around and slip the neck into the black slot. Pull the black knot piece through and it's tied. No pain in fingers, no wear and tear on your skin. Perfect. I even tried it on a double balloon water weight, over the sink of course. It pulled both balloon necks through and tied it up quickly and easily. LOVE THIS BALLOON TYING TOOL. Happy that I bought it and bought two of them! WOW WATCH the video, you'll get it perfectly in your first try.

For the long thin balloons it works best if you are under inflating them a bit or ...
If you are working with a volume of balloons this tool will save your hands! I used it on 5", 7", 10" and 12" balloons - I also used it on 646Q and 360q (long thin balloons) and it works very well! For the long thin balloons it works best if you are under inflating them a bit or stretch them first before inflating. It's easy to get the hang of and the plastic it's made of is sturdy. I purchased two initially but I'm buying two more for additional helpers! I've blown up large quantities before and I get blisters on my fingers - this tool completely eliminates that problem!! I don't have arthritis but I can see this tool helping someone who does! It's a great little invention and I'm glad to have found it!

Just Don't
I am a fairly handy person and I couldn't get this thing to work at all. Tried to return it but I have to pay shipping and it has to be in original package. How am I supposed to try it if it can't come out of the packaging. Complete waste of money.

Great for events.
Instructions are included with this tool and are simple to follow. The handle portion is made of a composite type material that appears quite durable and light. The key portion is of a softer plastic and not as durable but since this is in direct contact with the neck of the balloon, a harder material could cause puncture damage. As others have indicated, this requires some practice to become truly effective. It is easier to use for someone with a strong grip. The key to making this tool fast to use is gripping it firmly with the middle, ring, and little fingers. Don't use your index finger for anything other than holding the balloon otherwise it quickly becomes uncomfortable. Used this for a dance and it made 400 balloons an easy job. Purchased for $9.99 from Clown Antics in February 2015. Arrived faster than shipping estimate.
