Alera Double Pedestal Steel Desk

Purchased this as a replacement for my office desk which was over 50 years old.It is almost exactly the same except there is 1 less drawer than my original, the center drawer is not as deep and is slanted (by that I mean it doesn't not close flush with the top of the desk), but instead, pushes under the top 1-1/2 inches, making the lock hard to reach and impossible to see unless you get on the floor and look up underneath. You have to make sure the center drawer is pulled out in order to open any of the other drawers, if the center drawer is unlocked and pushed out of your way, the side drawers will not open.Poor design in my opinion.Within 1 month of using the desk, the lock broke (jammed) and I could not get my desk open. Fortunately my co-worker was able to open the drawer but the key would no longer open the lock. I contacted Amazon about this issue and they promptly contact the manufacturer who said they would send a replacement lock. Well, they sent a whole new center drawer with the lock attached. Seems like a waste of money on their part to send the drawer and not just the lock. The lock can be removed very easily without damaging the drawer. I probably would not have purchased this desk had I known that the drawers worked so oddly.

Two dents on each drawer face, all of which match each other. Obviously, a manufacturing error.The predrilled holes for mounting the legs won't allow the legs to be mounted square with the desk.

EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR AND NEEDED. STURDY CONSTRUCTION, EASY TO ASSEMBLE, GREAT SIZE.
