The Device [DVD]

Altho i didn't get this from Amazon I can say i enjoyed it more than some of the comments would warrant. Yes, some of the acting was a little wooden and there were quite a few cliques but it was not filmed on a shaky camera such as that boring Blair Witch, now that was a waste of 25 or so minutes. All I could stand.

not only is the plain boring, but to be honest, I felt ripped off: ok, don't judge a book by it's cover, but that cover / poster has NOTHING to do with the movie. at least not visually. I knew this would be low budget and all, but I had expected a bit more visual alien-ness than 2 minutes of bad actors in s***ty alien costumes.And don't think you'll see any cyborg transformation or the like in this movie. Not there...Dont watch

Slow moving with characters who are not very charismatic. Low budget - the alien looks like a biker in leathers, and the artefact is a small glowing ball - like what you can buy in Argos or in an electrical hardware store.The main special effect is that the ball glows - aka a small light bulb inside it - I think it is a 3v bulb.

Appears to be "another US made for TV video" not a film from the cinema.Cheaply made, alien effects poor, story poor, basically fairly boring I kept hoping it would improve but it didn't.

Disappointing

Agree with the posters that this is not just a bad film but a rip off. The film is just nothing like the back cover, or image on the DVD, describes or implies. I want my money back, in fact I'll have those 2 hours of my life back too please!

Good storyline.

A satire of COMMUNION, okay, but swerving from a Lifetime Channel story of the dangers of underage sex to the dangers of picking up little spheres in the woods? Makes you wish North Korea would hack this studio. The cover art shows Matrix-like tubes coming off the lovely actress' back, but that never appears in the movie itself. One actress is even shown reading COMMUNION while she sits in a chair waiting for rubber-suited aliens to arrive from deleted scenes from FIRE IN THE SKY. Well, I maybe should give it 5 stars for a student film, over-acting, micro-budget, and exercising my eyes with constant rolling up and down. As a rape drama it just uses stage blood, sharp nails, and Halloween costumes to compete with SIGNS. Spoilers anyone? The actresses are cute.

Interesting twist on a alien intervention. But the format will not play on most dvd players in this area, but a player that accepts these other formats is not expensive. It seems that a lot of these foreign reproductions are showing up and the investment may be well worth it.

They jacked up the dvd box cover with lie photos that are not in the movie for more sales.. Disappointed, could have easily been better made. The movie wants you to use your imagination. So you wold be better off reading a book.

I was expecting more than what I got, not the worst movie I've seen but far,far from the best.The cover is misleading

Terrible movie. Bad acting and boring. The cover photo is misleading and has nothing to do with this waste of time.
