Absolutely brilliant knife, out of the box razor sharp and stay that way unless abused. Hardened steel core with a sleeve/san mai style Damascus patterned outer layers, subtle and beautiful. It's my fourth knife in the Pro set and they are each and ever one superb knives and very pretty. They have a fair bit of weight and for having a true Damascus outer layer are great value for money. The edge holds really well due to the core steel and as long as you have a good sharpening system (Steels, Stones or rollers) they should last for a very very long time.
