This was very fun to make. Instructions says it takes about 2hrs to cure and we were worried when it was still runny after 2.5hrs. But at about 3 to 4 hours, the top solidified and it was squishy. We were worried the center hadn't harden so we just left it in the mold over night to be sure. Removing from the mold was tricky at first because we were scared to damage the taba, but if you kinda scrape the edge with your nail to get it started, the rest is quite satisfying. The hand tong is cute but not very effective. If you do 50mlA:50mlB, it's perfectly enough for a hamster and bunny mold. It looks like you can get about 4-5 each with the amount given. I didn't even know what one was until the grandkids came over with one. So, I bought this kit and made some. Very easy to do (just don't forget to lightly coat the inner part of the molds with petroleum jelly like Vaseline!!) and they turned out great. Very sticky and it even came with the special bags. Very happy with my purchase.

This was a lot of fun! It just took a little longer to set up. Just like the instructions read, depending upon the temperature in your room or outside that will determine the set up time. They Made for cute, flocked squishies!

This makes cute little squishies that my kids love to play with. It’s a little pricy for the size, but when I got it, there was a 15% off coupon and now I see there’s a coupon for 20% off, so those make a little difference. These mixtures aren’t something you can make yourself using household ingredients, so it’s one of those things you have to buy if you want to make squishies. The kit comes in a nice box with everything, including clear, concise instructions, really cute good quality tongs, plenty of flocking powder, various types of decorations, and good quality sturdy plastic ziplock bags to store the squishies in. The bags, which are thicker than standard baggies, are also used to apply the flocking powder, which is nice. It keeps the mess to a minimum, which I always appreciate. My 7 year old daughter made these two squishies, and I took the picture showing how much of the mixture we have left, which is a pretty good amount. It was a bit difficult to show how squishy they came out, but I tried my best. They’re very squishy and always return to the original shape, exactly as they are supposed to. As you may or may not see, there is a yellow spot on the mouse. We mixed a small touch of red and yellow to get that nice peachy color, but that was our first try. The yellow wasn’t mixed in completely, so we learned that we have to put the coloring on the stick and press it into the side of the mixing cup to push/spread it into the mixture. Because of the consistency, it doesn’t mix in any other way. We did make sure to “grease” the mold using a small paintbrush and aquaphor ointment, which is basically the same as Vaseline, so that they didn’t stick to the mold. We waited the whole time it says to, and it came right out. I wasn’t sure if it was ready because it’s so squishy that it was hard to tell. Plus, before the flocking powder, it’s very sticky. Unfortunately, it’s not sticky enough for the eyes or any decorations to stay on, so you’ll need some superglue if you want them on. We decided not to because my daughter likes them as they are. All in all, we do a lot of arts and crafts, so I like to get different things to try . I’m really glad I splurged a little and bought this kit. If you homeschool like me, this provides lots of opportunities to teach math, science, and the importance of following directions. It’s also a nice lesson in patience, when nowadays kids are used to instant gratification with almost everything. If you don’t wait, then it’ll ruin it. My daughter was very proud of herself when they were done.
