A bit expensive, but a nice after dinner gift for someone who likes arabian delicacies
This review is for "Chocolate Covered Biscuits with Pistachio - Bab Sharqi Gourmet Cookies Gift Box - Chocolate Butter Biscuits with Pistachio Dessert Tin, Middle Eastern Sweets Petit Fours (240g)."I received an attractive, small tin about six inches square with the advertised design printed and embossed on the lid. The BB date was July which is about six months shelf life.Threre is a single layer of about 45-50 cookies, quite short/soft in texture and with a mild chocolately flavour. They also have a drizzle of chocolate over the top, and a dusting of green pistachio. I enjoyed my sample, but I was a bit put off by the price. The price at the time of review was around £17 which is what I might pay at an airport duty free for a last minute gift, but probably not such good value when its not an impulse purchase. Nice for an after dinner gift especially for someone who likes arabian delicacies.

Interesting!
Have never tried this type of biscuit before! They are strangely light, but still crisp. It is difficult to explain, but they are very moreish, and have a nice texture and flavour that we really enjoyed. They are covered in a solid set chocolate sauce which is nice as it adds flavour without being too heavy.Worth a try, and would make a nice gift.

Sweet, like chocolate
These are very sweet, and I found I could only eat two or three of the individual cookies at a time, despite their size. They come in a nice, but small, tin which makes them a great gift. A little expensive though, in my opinion.

Disappointed,Didn’t look great on opening, taste & texture ok , not as biscuity as expected, more like chocolate powder moulded in to round balls that turn to powder in your mouth

Pretty tasty
Chocolate covered biscuits with a dusting of pistachio on top. Thought that it would have more pistachio stuff inside or on it, so was a bit disappointed in that. It is still tasty and is in bite sized pieces, doesn't look the best. The biscuit is more of the dryer type and the coating of chocolate is thin.

Crumbly, rich biscuit bites with pistachio topping
I had never heard of these before but I love to try new things. I really liked them! Much cumblier than I expected, but really lovely rich flavour and not too sweet. Well packaged to keep them fresh too and lovely presentation in a tin, would make a great gift.

very mild chocolate shortbread biscuits. Barely there pistachio flavour, pricey
PROS-these are light chocolate shortbread cookies-it was a good reminder of the sweets I enjoyed in my early teens-nice tinCONS-weaker chocolate flavour than I would have expected (even the drizzle isn’t very chocolatey)-the pistachio flavour was also minimal (too bad, it’s one of my favourites)-they crumble too easily, some were virtually powder by the time I got them out of the tin-priceyNOTES-I think it was quite clever to pack the cookies into the tin and _then_ drizzle chocolate and ground pistachio on them (could’ve used a lot more though)

Expensive
The key draw of this if I'm being honest is the tin, it's a lovely looking tin and that makes it really giftable, this isnt however a reflection of the contents, you're essentially paying a massive premium for average chocolate biscuits. If you're okay with this then I would recommend, otherwise I'd suggest looking for an alternative
