This was bought (along with a similar one) as a stocking filler for my children. I imagined a use-once-shove-it-in-a-drawer type situation by Boxing Day. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised with what we got and how engaged they were.As background, i my youth there was a craze for Coca Cola spinner yo-yos. I can’t remember how you got them, but EVERYONE had one. These were the first spinning yo-yos I had ever come across. Everything previously had been a terrible plastic toy. These spinners were the future.Fast forward to Xmas 2023 and we’re living in the future. In the package we got:- A nice metal yo-yo- A loads of spare strings in lots of colours- Replacement bearings- Instructions- A nice carry caseI was pleased to find I had accidentally bought a responsive yo-yo, meaning it comes back with a jerk of the string. I also got an unresponsive one that spins forever and needs a special trick to get it back to the top. The kids have had great fun with these, and a bit of time on YouTube has seen them trying to learn some basic tricks.The replacement parts and the nicely finished metal construction means this thing will last long into their adulthood so they won’t have to reminisce about the 90s in an Amazon review.

This metal yo-yo has a good medium weight to it.Unlike the V8, it doesn't feel quite so heavy and sluggish; unlike more "tinny" aluminium competing brands, it doesn't feel as light.The strings feel a bit different to those featuring in other Magic Yoyo products - whereas those felt very twisty and elastic-y and needed substantial wearing in before consistent use, the ones that came with this one didn't feel quite so wiry and twisty - a bit more woolen.The responsive bearings in this were excellent - very comfortable and reliable right out-of-the-box without any need for additional lubrication, unlike the K2 and V8 Magic Yoyos I've had.It's hard to know whether te above is down the the model type, the batch, or merely luck-of-the-draw when it comes to quality control for this brand.Either way, I really enjoyed this yo-yo.It might not be ideal for children, who'd want to start off with either a 2A looping yoyo, or a plastic-bodied responsive yoyo such as the K2.But for responsible beginners who can be trusted not to accidentally clonk people or objects with a metal yoyo, this is a great choice that offers the option to move on to the significantly more advanced non-responsive type by swapping the default responsive axle with the non-responsive axle that is uncluded with this product.Either way, unless you are quite tall (~6ft) you will need to follow the instructions to shortern string length whenever you put a new string on the Yoyo. The instructions on how to tie off the shortened string are tolerable, but not outstanding in terms of simplicity or clarity.As with all Magic Yoyo products, the presentation is excellent - they come with functional and convenient carry-cases, which happily house the spare strings; the alternative non-responsive axle; and the tools needed to swap out the axles.

To preface, I do not know how to play a yoyo beyond the very basic for children so was pretty excited for this. The yoyo is black and nice material, good weight, feels good in hand. It comes with a nice zip bag to protect the yoyo, and strings of various colours. It also includes some paper instructions, but I find it a bit hard to follow. I tried it but have not managed to get it to work within first 15 minutes, maybe being an absolute novice it is expected. This is a busy period for me so I haven't been able to spend more time, but it looks promising, though I hoped for more hand-holding and instructions for newbies.

I find it nice to chill out and play with a yo-yo for a few minutes each day. And this brand is both great quality while offering a lot of variety.

Come yoyo è robusto e allo stesso tempo leggero. Materiale buono, non male. È divertente da utilizzare.
