it isn't as effective as the blue fabric coat and or collars. it doesn't hold the water well so it almost has to drop water which defeats the object. it doesn't stay as cool as the blue fabric ones do. it looks nice but isn't great. I have bought the blue collar and coat for friends they are far superior in every way bar the fastening which is better on the orange coat but I bought it to keep the dog còol this one stays on but you must keep checking the feel of the coat to be sure its cool/cold. the blue one gived you visual clues it changes colour as it drys out and it also stiffens so you cant miss that it needs refreshing with water it isn't a threat in anyway as it's not a thick coat so won't warm your dog up but the velcro fastening needs checking. the orange one will not come off your dog it doesn't need checking for the fastening as that's secure. it just warms up by going dry as its a thick material and risks adding to the heat and defeats the object in my veiw this one doesn't impress me much at all I dont recommend it

Light weight, great fit for my chow chow and keeps dog cool. Every time I put my hand under the jacket on my dog's back it is nice and cold. Doesn't leave the fur wet just cold. My partner hates the colour :)) says the dog looks like a traffic warden :))) I don't mind it at all! Carefull though as it drops water everywhere if watered to much and not squized properly

My collie x labrador struggles very badly when it is hot and he won't lay on a cool mat. Bought this and boy am I glad I did. We have just had the hottest ever day in this country 38.6 degrees and my boy was happy and comfortable wearing his cool jacket all day, with virtually no panting either. We just kept the water topped up all day as the jacket does dry out fairly quickly, but more than happy to do so.

My dog had a sudden burst of energy when I put this on him in the hot weather. I bought the XXL for my Labrador Retriever, not quite long enough but loose round the girth. A bit heavy when soaked but he doesn't seem to mind. Dries out on a long walk but a bottle of water replenishes it. My dog spends a lot of time head down sniffing causing the back to lift slightly reducing the cooling area. I am thinking about fitting elastic to go round his hips.

Dries out quiet quickly so you have to keep an eye their not just walking about in what is affectively a coat in the heat if its not wet, best comfortable fit I've found for my nearly 50kg shep the side clips keep it on really nicely.

I ordered theXL and it fits my Finnish Lapphund perfectly, it goes right down to his tail. he has been out in it in the recent hot weather and under the coat he was lovely and cool, also no panting. as it drys i just tip more water on. does the job great.

Bought XXL for my long haired weimeraner (longer body than short haired) and it fits really well. Also love that it's lightweight and a vest so doesn't restrict her movement like the coats do. On the downside, it doesn't hold the water and doesn't keep her as cool as the coat, but the coat is too bulky and heavy for her to wear when full of water so overall this vest is a better option. As others have said, it drips everywhere, impossible to properly wring out such a large coat, and dries very quickly.

Works very well ,have to explain to people that it is for keeping dog cool as they tend to think we are being cruel putting her in a coat in the heat. She has also had an operation on her back so it protects the scar.
