Great peace to add to collection
This is a great piece. My son recently joined the army as a Blackhawk maintenance crew chief and he absolutely love this gift! Not for younger kids too many parts and pieces.

Storm the compound
I know, I know, military matters are in. Fortunately, this is a good little kit and generally affordable (especially given that minifigs are included). Some help was required, but not too bad given the number of pieces. Overall, an interesting set!

Surprising quality. Fun build with great display value. brands can learn about stickers from these
++ Fully brand-compatible bricks+ High-quality plastic. Parts are tight enough and it won't fall apart easily+++ The stickers are better than those used by brand bricks!!+ the build is very cool for display. The features are good for play- Some bricks may be just a tad bit too tight- the mini figs are mid. most have very tight fits. The plastic somehow feels lower quality than the rest of the buildI was honestly surprised with the quality of this set. I am used to off-brands having bricks that are too thin, too tight, too loose, generally too cheap but these are difficult to tell apart from brand bricks other than the deeper, shinier color these bricks have. I'm an adult brick fanatic and I rarely get anything off-brand, but I am glad I got this set. I actually had fun building it and I was quite satisfied with the displayability of it. I know my kid will have lots of fun playing with it when he's older, so I'm very happy I got this. I will, however, get rid of the figures because those are not up to par with brand standards and they are not fully compatible. The one thing that stands out is the stickers. Fans generally dislike using stickers, but sometimes it is unavoidable. I was not surprised this set used stickers instead of printed pieces but I was however very impressed with the sticker quality and methods. The placed stickers end up looking like printed pieces and they are just so satisfying to use. they come off the sticker page with a bit of film on it which get removed after placement, leaving a very clean image with no corners and looking nothing like a sticker

Fun to build
I have built several Sluban sets now. They have consistent good quality and each set has at least a couple new molds I've never seen before. Pieces are all LEGO-compatible size, although Sluban uses many of their own molds so there are many variants that won't be found in other brands' sets. They also have their own figures which I mostly like quite well. They have ball-joint wrists and often have unique accessories. These four don't have anything too out of the ordinary, although the pilot does get a matching belt and harness, and the helmets have fairly nice prints. My pilot's left leg joint is a little bit loose, one of the only piece quality issues I experienced with this set. The other mild annoyance was that the ends of the rope weren't fused, making it tricky to thread through the holes in its reel.Building is straightforward. Some of the connections are a little bit challenging, but this set seems to be intended for somewhat more experienced builders than many of their others - the box indicates this is their ModelBricks line rather than Army. The instructions are large and you only need to build from one bag at a time (plus the occasional large part from the bag that's shared over all the phases). Although these instructions don't have a QR code for the Sluban website, digital instructions in pdf format are available there for this set. They do a great job calling out the sizes of pieces in the parts inventory boxes. An area that needs improvement is the use of arrows indicating connections in sub-assemblies. Sometimes they mark a stud, while other times they mark a corner, and in either case they don't have a line extending beyond the top of pieces to help indicate exactly where the connection is to be made. It's not super confusing, but it could easily be more clear.Stickers are applied throughout building rather than all at the end, so that's great. They've also used my favorite type in this set - decals that apply with transfer tape. There aren't a huge number of them, and their small sheet was tucked inside the instruction booklet to prevent damage. The one that says US ARMY is actually two separate stickers that go on adjacent pieces, which is excellent if you are against single stickers that cover multiple pieces, but less great if you don't like trying to match edges. The helicopter build itself, I absolutely love. A couple of the real life ones operate out of a nearby Army Reserve post, so I see them flying overhead fairly often and this set does a great job capturing their shape. When I ordered, I didn't see the image farther down the page with dimensions, so I was surprised to find the helicopter is fairly large. I think where it gives the length as 16.06 inches, they included the tail rotor. The fuselage is about 15 inches and the main rotor has a 13 inch diameter. The wheels and rotors spin very well. The doors are easy to open. They don't have a hinge or mechanism, but there are three studs next to each door to attach them in an open position. The one thing I really wish was better is access to the cockpit. There are fairly good sight lines to be able to admire all of the instrumentation stickers, but it takes too much disassembly to get a pilot in or out. If you want the pilot in there, it's best to place him while building. For nitpickers, any mentions of WWII in the description are completely off-base - the UH-60 didn't enter service until very nearly the 1980s. I also find it peculiar the set includes both weaponry and air ambulance stickers - the HH-60M seems to be more properly the variant for medevac. In any case, builders can simply choose whichever version they like and build and sticker accordingly. Since the stickers are single-use, it would have been better to include two spare black 2x2 curved slopes for builders who would like to switch between the two. There are a good number of extra pieces included, but none of those pieces.Overall, I am very pleased with this set. It was fun to build and looks great.
