I went to Europe for a 10 day study abroad. Most of the people that went with us had called their phone carrier and were just going to use what they provided for travel. Mine didn’t have anything for that, so I ordered an esim. The first one didn’t work at all. I had to return it and try to get another one in, quick, before I had to leave for the trip. This one came in one day. It was so easy to set up and I was able to switch back and forth between my personal esim and this one. I was able to send texts from anywhere and even call. It connected to every type of cell tower when I had roaming toggled on. I was even able to use it on the plane, in the city, in the hotel, EVERYWHERE! This was a lifesaver.

This item is advertised in working in many countries, including the U.S. I specifically picked this one so I could activate it and test it out BEFORE traveling. When I chatted with customer service via whatsapp, I was told it does not work in the U.S. and to try it when I get to Europe. I did not want to roll the dice since it already did not work in one country the listing said it would work in. I am in the process of returning the 2 that I purchased and am now buying a different one.

This is a mixed review, therefore the 2 stars. I purchased two for hubbys and my phone, one worked and the other did not. Tried their customer service but it was a joke. Our friends got the same eSIMs and both of theirs worked fine. I was sadly disappointed.

Was a little confusing to set up but eventually managed it while abroad and had no issues communicating with folks back home.

When you leave the USA and arrive at destination you have to activate the esim which requires a wifi connection. Once you find a way to connect to the internet you can finally activate. A second annoyance is the QR code to activate. If the code appears on your phone screen then how do you scan it? Buyer beware! Prepare to search for free Wi-Fi and print out a copy of the QR code before leaving the USA.

The eSIM was easy to install, there were clear directions.
