I desperately needed a wider desk where I could sit cross legged without touching my thighs to the cold table legs - or be able to turn in my chair without bumping my knees. This desk is perfect for that! The bottom is wide and spacious, and I can move around without feeling cramped or stuck. The tabletop is expansive without being too far out that you have to stand up or roll your chair over to grab something on the ends. The surface feels slick and has a cool texture to it. Assembly definitely took time, but it was easy to follow, and everything fit together with no issues. Overall, I am enjoying my computer area very much with this spacious desk.Here are a few complaints I have about the desk. First, the monitor stand is not screwed down onto the table. The bottom has plastic adhesives so it won't scratch the table surface and it kind of sticks, but it can be knocked over by accident, which I don't know how I feel about it. I can't think of a reason to move the monitor, so I don't know why it isn't screwed down. Secondly, the storage is lacking in quality. The side paper organizer has a piece that goes in the bottom to keep its shape, but the top just collapses close anyways. There's nothing supporting it, so it doesn't stay neatly open. And the drawer is very small and isn't even a real drawer. It's exposed on the sides, so you can reach your hand in and grab stuff that way haha - especially since the drawer is a pain to get in and out. It always gets caught on the metal edge above it so it's stubborn to come out and is a pain to push in all the way. I don't even know the purpose of that metal piece with holes in it, but it gets in the way. Thirdly, the desk isn't the steadiest. It's not going to fall over or anything, but it wobbles even if I'm just typing. It's very minor wobbling, but for whatever reason is not completely stable. I'm not sure if it's because the width is smaller? Not a deal breaker, but something to note.Other than those things, I'm still happy with the overall desk since it gives me the space that I need, and other than the complaints, is a well put together desk.

This is a great desk for small spaces and is easy on the wallet. With additional shelves, , a monitor riser, a magnetic pegboard wall, a separately attached folder on the side, and additional hooks, there exists usable space that might otherwise be useless.I appreciate the modular nature of the desk. I have it set up with the short end on the right at the moment, but it can be put on either side. As well with the ‘wall’ piece. Be aware that while you can put the side on in either direction, the structure of the desk requires both pieces for stability, as the main piece only has support on one end. Once constructed, the crossbar supports really lend stability.The surface of the desk is quite sleek and cleans up easily. This desk can suit the needs of many situations, but I still consider it a ‘starter desk’, though a very decent one at a great price. If you need to keep a lot of files or require drawers for any purpose, this may not be the best choice. While this does come with a monitor shelf, it is not static and can be moved or removed to the users preference. I use a monitor mount, and although there is not an immediately flat surface to mount to, because of the metal frame of the desk, I was able to get my flat clamp mount to work. A mount with a smaller plate would have difficulty finding a hold.The lighting included with this is a nice touch, but the recessed power supply is the real winner in the extras category. Be aware that, as with many USB ports of this type, you will not get the same power as you would with a plug-in charger, and that’s ok because right next to the USB ports are plugs!Overall I am loving this desk for my small space. Though I do not game, it is useful in many other situations.
