Zoodling will set you free!
Having recently joined the Keto movement, I wanted to find other ways to eat healthy but wanted something that was going to retain my interest in this "lifestyle". I'm not a fan of zucchini so I a little skeptical of this device and all the hub bub of zoodling. I didn't want a huge kitchen appliance with levers and gears and my kitchen is small so I opted for this product. It's small and fits in any drawer and with very little practice, I was zoodling to my hearts content with zucchini. It's easy to clean and if there are any remnants in the zoodler, the small brush will easily remove them. Honestly, a confident stream of hot water will usually do the trick. I haven't tried the ribbon side of this product yet, but I'm certain it will be just a good as the zoodle side. I love this product so much I have purchased one for a friend and recommended it to several other friends. It's a great price and a great device.

Liked it but didn't get the results as per expectations :(
I went to one Mediterranean restaurant and there I got a salad as side dish. It was carrot noodles with some dressing. It was awesome. Presentation, taste everything was perfect. So I thought of looking for recipes and through one blog I found the device called vegetable spiral slicer. While searching on Amazon, I found there are tons of similar slicer with different companies, so I started my research (reading the reviews and question/answers). I found this one with good reviews and bought this slicer for myself. Now this slicer works very good on Zucchini. The blades are sharp and good. You have to be careful at times. Cleaning is also easy because of the brush provided. But when I tried on carrots, I didn't get the results as per expectations. I guess there are few points which should be mentioned in the description -1. It does good job on zucchini and other vegetable of that size. (I am not a big fan of zucchini. I got this one specially for carrots and beetroot)2. It wont work on thin carrots. We usually don't get the carrots of zucchini size from top to bottom. They are tend to be bigger on the roots and slimming down on bottom. So half of the carrot is wasted. You have to either chop it or grate it.3. Also tried on beetroot but again didn't get the results as noodles. there should a video showing how to make noodles of all the vegetables.I will try using this slicer one more time before returning it. I would have given it five stars if it worked on carrots as it does on zucchini.

Converting from pasta to zoodles!
I orignally gave this 5* but dropping the review to a 4*.Update: Since I was impressed with using the zucchini I tried with the sweet potato and that didnt work well. I could barely get spirals. Maybe a sweet potato is too hard for the zoodle slicer. Also I wished it used more of the end of the zucchini. Since I find it annoying to use it manually I will also buy the one at $30 from another maker so I can get different blades and also make it more practical for when I'm cooking for more than 1 meal. Will still keep thisOriginal review: ordered this product as I thought of trying a new diet. Well I gave up the idea of dieting but am focusing instead on replacing my carbs by better and healthier alternatives. This product arrived fast and its very self explanatory to use. I bought 1 zucchini and decided to make zoodles. The product comes with a small pamphlet of recipes which is what I needed as I had no idea how long to cook the zoodles until I saw the 5minutes mentioned in one of the recipes on the pamphlet. Ok... I might not be the most organized but all i wanted was to try it as fast as I could.Only drawback is that you lose the end of the zucchini as you wont be able to spiral it. But thats a detail as i just chopped it off in pieces and add it in my meat sauce. My biggest surprise is that I actually loved my meal. Besides the texture being a little more spongy I would say it taste as good if not bettet than pasta.I think this product is perfect for 1 or 2 meals at a time. But if I'm trying to make zoodles for 3 people or more... I need something a little more elaborate... maybe electric to save time.Sometimes healthier alternatives means lack of taste but in this case zoodles are tastier than pasta. For me... I do not intend to buy pasta and will use this on a regular for myself and maybe 1 other person.I ate the entire zucchini in one meal... not sure if my portions are right but at least its not carbs! My "pasta" was so tasty... peep the picture!I can't wait to try it with other veggies and google recipes online and get inspired by the pamphlet given. This might make it to the list of items for gift exchange next Christmas... I know I'm early but its very practical, useful, easy to clean and a great add to the kitchen. Did I add it also comes with a peeler?

Not sure this is the one for me.
It is a simple idea. My first use was making sweet potato noodles. At first it worked well. The potato was the right size. Once it gets to a point though, nothing would happen. It bothered me that I kept having to cut the tip off to get it to make noodles. The second pototo was too wide so I cut it in half. When I tried to make noodles then, the potato just kept breaking, so I ended up chopping the potato into small strips with a knife. So I would say first use was unsuccessful. Maybe user error but seems like this should be a straight forward tool.
