Wow! Incredible value for the money.
This radio provides a lot of features for its low price. Pros: Small and light. It easily fits in a shirt pocket and easily carried. Nice and lightweight. Great display. Good backlight and big numbers to display the time and frequencies. Great sound for its small speaker. Very pleasant to listen to, even for something like classical music. Excellent stereo sound on headphones. Great reception for AM and FM. Digital Tuning. Big fan of digital tuning. You can manually tune to a specific frequency using the tuning dial, or scan the band, and it will find and auto-program the presets. 35 Auto programming presets per band. 3 Customizable preset buttons for each band that you can manually program and access with quick one-push access. Telescoping antenna that moves 360 degrees around and stores neatly in the indentation provided when not in use. Doubles as a digital clock and an alarm clock. It can avoid using batteries by using a 3V DC charger. (Charger not included) Comes with a cheap set of wired earbuds. It stands up upright fine on its own, but it also comes with a little snap-out kickstand on the back to prop it up at an angle on a flat surface if you wish to do that. Comes with a lanyard already installed to make it easy to carry. Cons: Poor Shortwave reception. Maybe reception could be better if used outdoors or by using a clip-on extension wire antenna. But using indoors with the antenna provided, it was poor. No DC Charger included On the Grey model, the white lettering is hard to read. I recommend you go with the black model to avoid that problem. The radio takes 2 AA batteries. For the clock, I needed to use the instructions on how to set the time, but the rest of the controls weren't too hard to figure out without instructions. At the time of my purchase, this radio was slightly less than $10. Just a phenomenal value for under $10. Still a good value for under $20 in my opinion.

Good for the price
I gave this 4 stars within the $15 radio category. There are many better models at higher prices. For something with this basement price it has quite a few features including: 12/24 hour click, alarm, sleep timer, earphone jack and earphones (included), dial light, auto tune storage, favorite station buttons, digital frequency display, carry strap, English manual and a lock button. It supports both US and European frequency ranges for MW/FM. There is FM stereo with headphones. The clock is visible with the radio off, and can operate for months on a battery charge. The display and button labels are very easy to read, as can be seen in the photo. Since the clock is always on, this makes sense as an alarm clock set to an FM radio station. One nice touch is the three favorite channel pushbuttons. The manual is printed front an back on an oversized sheet, and appears complete, well-illustrated and in fine English. I give it an “A” grade. Long-pressing the BAND button in shortwave mode tabs through the 9 individual shortwave bands: 3, 4,75, 5.95, 7.1, 9.5, 11.65, 13,6, 15,1, 17.5, and 21.45 MHz. Tuning is then accomplished by turning a wheel on the side of the radio. I intuitively expect that a clockwise turn of a wheel increases frequency, but in this case it’s a decrease. Shortwave reception isn't bad and can be improved with a clip-on antenna. The radio has auto-tune storage; it will search for stations and save them for quick access; however, there are only 30 stations for each band, and the user can't manually add them. (The 3 favorites can be set.) Some folks report confusion on how to set the clock. I made a video to accompany the review showing how it's done.

Very good AM/FM/SW budget digital radio
Nice little digital radio. Good reception on FM and AM in the evening was good. Shortwave reception is hard to judge because of limited broadcasting nowadays. I did faintly receive the BBC from Oman targeting here in SE Asia. The radio has a nice feature enabling the AM channel step to be changed 9/10khz. Follow the clear directions. A couple of 50kw AM stations came in over 600+ miles away in the evening here in the Philippines. The tuning is good and a nice backlit display. The speaker isn't the greatest but at this price point I wasn't expecting it to be. The included earbuds weren't the best and I use better quality ones and the sound is very good. Lots of features for a small price I'm glad I found this one

Similar to Retekess V111, a few bucks cheaper at $13.
I bought it to replace my old V111. It's 30gr lighter at 118gr, a little smaller but thicker, has easier battery access with 10 second backup power to keep your radio settings (but not clock). Came with good manual in well enough English and earbuds. Has similar functions to V111 except no mute button (need to use on/off to silence the commercials) and no way to completely turn it off but clock may not use much power anyway. Haven't tested SW but it picks enough AM/FM stations for me to use a few times a month for a few hours. I subtracted a star but still I would buy it again and I would recommend it.

Good radio
Well built little radio. I bought it because you can buy a mini USB flash drive and play your own songs.
