Yes, this is not the big name brand, but the price is not the big name price either.Our kids grew up playing with wooden train sets so we wanted to get something similar for another youngster in the family, and they absolutely love it, which we knew they would.This thirty-nine piece set really will provide many hours of entertainment and it is one of those toys that children come back to again and again, and it is great to have something that they can play with that doesn't involve a screen and an Internet connection.On this page is says 2, 3,4, and 5 year olds, and yes, it is definitely fantastic for that age range, but our kids carried on using it when they were 6 or 7, although by then we'd built up quite a collection of pieces so they could create some pretty amazing set-ups, and I think for older children that is probably important. But, with thirty-nine pieces this is the perfect place to start and then build it up from here if they like it, which the chances are that they will.The other nice thing with this kind of toy is that they last forever, so we still have the pieces out kids had as children and they'll be handed on to grandkids and hopefully great grandkids at some point.

Amongst all the many Christmas extortionately expensive presents our grandchildren received I have to say that this COOLJOYA Wooden Train Set has been the hit of the Xmas season. This a a decent size wooden train set robust enough to survive the destructive efforts of a 3 and 5 year old and one which will hopefully last for years. It comes with 39 pieces and part of the joy is putting it together with the children. At £25 it offers great value for money and will not break the bank as either a birthday or Christmas present.

The 39-piece set offers plenty of track and accessories, allowing my child to design different layouts and train scenes. It’s a great way to encourage creativity and imagination. The quality of the wood seems solid, and it’s easy to assemble. I also love that it encourages family interaction, as we can all get involved in building the track together.Significantly lowerprice than the leading brand - you can tell the quality isn't as good so great as a one-off starter set but perhaps not for someone who needs the 'best' in everything. Pieces do fit quite loosely together but I guess that is an advantage for making more layouts.
