They are smaller than normal soapstone. But for my use they will work just fine. Good price and fast delivery.

Does the job
Easy to use. It writes on metal with no problem. Still visible when metal is hot. Some minor cracks visible in some but all of them are in one piece. Works very well.

smaller than standard soapstone
Soapstone is soapstone but in this case its more narrow and thinner than standard soapstone. Don't recommend. Go to Harbor Freight.

Be aware this are not full sized
So I bought so could refill my soapstone holder but I probably didn't read the description good enough but they are smaller. My fault... On the plus side I do like that there are not to thin to break easily and not to thick to have to keep sharping alot. I like doing layouts with them.

Great for bowling
I use these to help with clean thumb release when bowling. Just scrape a small amount with a quarter or scissors into a powder. Love it

"Soapstone Refills Professional Welding Chalk"That sounds like standard size that would fit my holders. Nothing to suggest it was under sized.Wish I had taken the time to read reviews. I buy 95% of everything on Amazon. Always feel I can trust Amazon to keep scams to a minimum. That trust just went down a notch or two. Not enough money to bother returning, but sure not happy.It will make me consider Walmart more, who usually has lower price.
