i've purchased a number of Nutricost's powders, this one, like the others is good quality, easy to use, never clumpy, fine powder. works great.

Seems to be keeping the outdoor semi-feral cats healthy. I was having a problem with them constantly getting and spreading colds. They would get all snotted up in the nose and eyes. They would be sneezing and sound congested. They were pitiful. I use 4 grams per gallon of water and it has worked wonders! No more issues. One if the cats decided to use the included scoop for a play toy and lost it. I am now using a teaspoon per gallon. I think a teaspoon is slightly over 5 grams. Somewhere I read to dose them 4 grams per gallon, but the extra gram doesn't seem to hurt. There is about 12 to 15 cats sharing the same bowl, so it is impossible to know how much they actually ingest anyway. I would stay as close to 4 grams per gallon as I could though, just in case. You don't want to hurt the little critters. That is the dosage that seems to work. It mixes very well in water, unlike trying to crush a pill. The size is great! It will last me over a year or two. An extremely economical way of keeping your cats healthy. I always use it as a preventive with each bowl filling. They do not even notice it. If anything, they may prefer it to untreated water. Lol

This is 35 ounces (2.2 lbs) of 100% pure L-Lysine powder. There are no additives, no fillers, no preservatives. It is unflavored, gluten-free, is non-GMO, and third-party tested, so the safety and value for your money is fantastic. This 2.2 lb container will last a very long time since the suggested serving size is 1 small scoop daily (1 g, or about 1/4 teaspoon), and the scoop is included. The manufacturer (Nutricost) says that the container has 1,000 servings. I take this l-lysine myself by just dissolving it in water, but I also give 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. daily to each of my 2 cats by mixing it with their wet food. L-lysine is an important amino acid for immune health in people, as well as cats. My male cat has one itchy, weepy eye, likely due to allergies. Since I began giving him 1/4 tsp of l-lysine daily, his eye is much improved, and both of the cats' allergy symptoms have greatly improved. Please Note: You don't have to buy l-lysine powder marketed specifically for cats, which is usually more expensive. You can use this l-lysine powder for your cats as well as yourself. L-Lysine taken orally is also helpful in reducing the severity and duration of cold sores.

Very easy to dissolve. Very little taste, maybe an ever so slight citrusy taste but barely noticeable. Obviously, the big jug of powder is less convenient than taking a capsule or a tablet, but for the price of a couple hundred tablets you get years and years of product in the big jug.

I’ve have always needed to keep stock of L-Lysine. I have an acid issue and get sores in my mouth because of it. I have tried umpteen brands and potencies, Some that didn’t work at all. Nutricost solved all of those issues. I simple put a scoop into my bottled water and I’m good to go. What a great product!
