The Big Book of California Bar Exam Essay Writing

What a tremendous resource. The Big Book starts off with a step-by-step plan to get your writing together, including a chapter on getting your mind "right." It presents the most common-sense approach to IRAC you're going to find, and provides all of the law you will need to pass the exam. It has chapters on every subject on the exam, starting out with all of the rules you'll need, written in a concise format and ready to be memorized verbatim. The book then shows you how to use the law, with 49 essays, each followed by an approach to the essay, and an example of a sample answer with comments in the answer telling you why the author took the steps they took, and how the law would be applied in that circumstance. This book is easy to read, and it is written on real paper, not onion paper like most law books. The text isn't crowded, and there is room to take notes on each page. One thing I see is that there are no widows and orphans, which is how I write, where each idea is finished on the page it begins. This book has no fluff. There are no outlines, and no grids that show what questions were tested decades ago. This is a gem, it is easy to read and makes the law make sense. It's a keeper!

Ed Aruffo is a proven teacher and author that has a great pass rate for those taking the California Bar. Simply follow his rules, all the information you need is contained in this book. Each essay in all the tested subjects cover the most tested issues and the book give a easy to understand attack plan how to issue spot and write a passing essay.
