James Prosek Grasslands: Painting the American Prairie

Filled with beautiful art, "Grasslands" is a special body of work. Along with visually striking and calming art inspired by a long study of the natural world (in this case, grasslands and all they hold), I learned about the prairies and grasslands we've lost, what is still remaining to cherish, protect, and grow, and why it's important to do so. Like the art, the writing is fresh and alive, with a timely message to impart. I love this book. It's also going to be a book I'll gift to others.
