Review: Excellent book by Dylane. I have watched bunch of French Videos online too. Highly recommend both her book and youtube Channel . Review: Dylane Moreau is a legend with several years of successful teaching of French behind her - on YouTube and her own website, and through her many books and video courses. Most of her teaching is guided towards people who are not complete beginners but have some experience with the language. Perhaps through a beginner's course or attempts to learn French on their own. This particular series of books fits into this concept but with the bar set a bit higher - you are expected to know the basics, for instance through her YouTube courses and/or other books, such as her "Complete French..." series. When you are at a level of having learned the basics, you really need practice, most of all. Setting aside a bit of time each week for a year is perfect for making your studies habitual, making you begin thinking in French and having it as a natural thing around you - and in you. If you study a chapter each week, spending a bit of time each day on reading, doing exercises, rehearsing, trying to use what you have learned in as many ways as possible - then you can't go wrong; you will learn French well. Of course, if you have the capacity, you can run through the books faster. Perhaps several times - it's all up to you and your preferred way of studying. I highly recommend these books - the French Vocabulary Workbook and its siblings about Grammar and Listening. They all have comprehensive audio for download, which will help to boost your learning, and all the tasks and examples are modern and relevant, unlike many other workbooks. You can directly use most of what you practice here. The books have a practical format (A5), not too big, unlike the mentioned "Complete French" books (A4) - so, you can easily bring them with you if you are travelling. Just bring a pen as well, and perhaps a notebook for jotting down your replies to those exercises that requires you to write freestyle answers. All other types of tasks have areas set aside in the book itself for the response. Just to compare with some other workbooks on the market, I find Dylane's more current and relevant, even though such as the Progressive/Progressif series from CLE International are bigger and more beautiful, with texts and illustrations. Also such as the En contexte series from Hachette has its qualities, and the best solution to your needs would probably be a mix of them all - since they have different topics, different viewpoints, and have been written at different points in time. Dylane's books will give you a direct, person to person-oriented style with everyday words and contexts, while the others will help you get to a more generalized understanding of French.

I'm serious about learning French, and have invested in 13 of Dylane's books so far. They, along with their videos, audios, study guides, additional free online resources, plus the daily "word of the day" email, have tremendously accelerated the growth of my French language skills. Highly recommended.
