Cosco 11311ABL1E 2-Step Stool, Platinum/Black

I have purchased several ladders and step stools trying to find something that is easy to use around my house. Several rooms here have ten foot ceilings so I need something to give me a good lift to reach the ceiling lamps.Ladders will do the trick but they are heavy and difficult to get out when they are needed. Most step stools are light, but they are usually too short to make much difference. The Costco 3-step stool is perfect for my needs.It weighs about ten points so it is easy to lift and move around. And it really is a 3-step stool. You can safely stand on the top step. Of course you still need to be careful. It won't prevent a fall if you are determined to take such a trip, but it is sturdy enough not to move a great deal when you stand on it, so it won't be the cause of a fall. Keep a hand on the top rail or at least a leg, and you should be okay.Storage is easy too. Folding is easier that most others I have used. Lift a handle at the back of the top step, and the steps fold up flat to be easily stored in a closet or under a bed, couch, etc.I am very happy with this purchase, so I gladly recommend it.

I have used this ladder for several months now. I live in a small space and am quite short. This ladder is great. I have it hanging on two hooks in the hall and can easily grab it down and open it to be used. It is exceptionally light weight and easy to maneuver and can be opened/closed and moved with one hand. This is very sturdy and does not wobble at all. The bottom two stairs can be a bit uncomfortable/thin to stand on without shoes, but I typically stand on the top step.

This stool is perfect. I got this to have as my own instead of having to use the one my dad uses for handy man work which was way too heavy/clunky for me to carry back and forth. He also needs it a lot so it's very nice to have one of my own that's designed more for this kind of intended use. I'm 5'2" and this stool allows me to touch the ceiling while standing on the top step, no wobbling, very sturdy. It's lightweight and super easy to fold in and out as well as small enough to store anywhere if you need it out of the way. Reaching for anything in a home will be no problem from now on. Independence to the vertically challenged ~ !

Oh! My goodness…. This little step stool is THE BEST!!! Great height… AND, SO EASY to open & close!! Sounds pretty basic, right??! Wrong! I had one that I kept for a few years…. Don’t know WHY I kept it!!! I always hesitated to use it because it was such a hassle!! This is a perfect step stool!! And affordable!

Really great step stool for the value! (Side note - what's up with step stools being so expensive in general? Oh well, with this step stool I think I'll never have to buy another one anyway!)It's extremely light - not sure what it's made of, but my first impulse when feeling how light it was, was to be concerned that it would be rickety and badly put together. That's not the case at all: this thing is very sturdy, and all parts move smoothly every time. So with the ease of use plus a much lighter weight than most step stools, this stool is really great. Very easy to hang on a hook on the wall without worrying about it tearing off the hook.There's a handle that sits flush with the second (higher) step. Once the stool has been "unfolded," you pull this handle up slightly in order to fold the stool back up. As mentioned already, this works smoothly every time. I've had other step stools that sometimes get stuck when folding or unfolding.The legs of the stool have thick rubber (or plastic) feet on them that provide lots of stability (in the past I've definitely had step stools that wobbled a little). This also makes the stool seem less likely to scratch or scuff hard floor surfaces.There's also a rubbery, slightly texturized handle, which is nice to carry without the stool slipping, and also makes the stool easier to hang on a hook and stay balanced than if there were no handle or if the handle was too smooth.No assembly was required.My only gripe with the step stool is the bottom step. It's pretty narrow--more of a rung than a step--so if you've got the stool out and you're trying to put something away, but don't quite need the height of the higher step, you might need to get on the second step anyway depending on what you're doing. It's a minor gripe, but here's an example of why this can be problematic: yesterday I was putting large, heavy storage bins on a shelf inside my closet (the shelf is about 6'2" high). My closet isn't deep, so on the step stool I was basically standing in/just outside the doorway of the closet (I wouldn't have been able to fit all the way inside the closet with the bins). It would have been easier to stand on the bottom step to lift and stack the storage bins while also being able to see them, but because of how heavy they were, the small bottom step couldn't provide me any stability. So I got up onto the higher step, but then my head was more or less outside the closet so I had to blindly put away and stack bins that were quite heavy. If the bottom step was actually a step and not just a rung, that task would have been much easier, and I definitely would've given this product 5 stars.

This Step-Stool is perfect for my needs. It is very light, folds flat for easy storage next to my refrigerator and, having 2 steps, I can reach any thing in any of the shelves of my kitchen. It is also well designed so that when you want to put it away the locking mechanism is right on the second step and you cn pick up the stool and close it with one hand - no reaching around the sides or undernI have recommended this to my friends and think it is an excellent death. I don't know how much weight it can bear. I weigh about 135 lbs. and have never felt it was unsafe or wobbly. I also like the handle which can be gripped when on the stool, making it feel safer. I have already recommended this to friends and think it should be in every kitchen!

Great little stool that is light but sturdy at the same time. Bought it for my elderly mom who needs uses the stool to reach the high spots in our home. She loves it

This is a great little ladder. It's not sturdy enough to be a work ladder, but it's built well enough for my wife to use it in the kitchen. It's nice and light for her to move it around with ease.

Works great a step stool, not so good for my steps to recovery from being an alcoholic. But allows me to reach the booze the wife hides
