Love this fireplace its light but sturdy super easy to put up . Love shabby chic and it arrived in one piece , this was the only thing that I was worried about from reading other peoples reviews that it would arrive damaged......one thing I would say is that it could have had more padding inside the box just to protect the pillars more . Would recommend.

Quite expensive for what it is. Flimsey thin almost pallet wood like. Looks ok, but disappointed with its overall quality especially considering it's price. Finishing touches not done well, glue on the rose decoration.

I love everything about this fireplace. It creates a really nice ambience in the cosy corner of my house and my gas stove fits perfectly inside it. The only thing that would improve it is the way that it is put together. That is, I would have preferred that it was all predrilled so that all I need to do is put int he screws and tighten them up. Also the top part - the mantel - should be screwed in through the top, well I am planning to put brackets on the back, so that I don't have to spoil the top. But I still love it and everyone admires it when they come into my home.

This fire surround is incredibly light and delicate (easily dented) as it is made from a really soft wood. The manufacturers suggest that this is good for the environment as it is easier to transport and uses less resources and the wood is fast growing. Fair enough. But the design of the fireplace is completely baffling- the detail at the bottom of the upright sections goes all the way round which means that the fireplace can not sit flush with the wall. This is bizarre. I had to hack away at mine to remove the beading at the back and the two panels that stop the fireplace fitting flush against the wall. It all looks fine and fits properly now but I don't understand why they would design and manufacture it in that way. I've never seen a fire surround that wasn't fitted against a wall or chimney breast? Very strange. However, because I am reasonably capable I was able to sort out that design flaw and I have painted the fire surround gloss white and it looks great now that its fitted. Not sure I'd buy another one though...

Muy insatisfecha. La parte delantera tallada en las fotos aparece del mismo color que toda la estructura. Blanco chalkpaint, así envejecido y me encuentro unas flores beiges horribles lacadas con brillo. Horrible. No tiene nada que ver con la imagen del anuncio.
