Very well done pharmacology review - not just for EMT/Paramedics. See caveats.
I ordered the "Paramedic Flash Paramedic Pharmacology Flash Cards" as part of a larger review for an exam I am sitting, and the information is great, very well done, but I give them four stars for a few reasons:First, the packaging is ridiculous. What a waste of cardboard. It arrives in a very large box (see images), with the cards nestled inside another box, surrounded by yet another framing box. I understand wanting to be sure they aren't squished in transport, but I think this is just excessive, and wasteful.Second, white text on a dark background is just never as easy to read as black text on white cards. Add into that the fact that the cards have paragraphs with some words in different colours (red, yellow, green) on this dark blue background? Just a headache waiting to happen if you are in a low-light environment. Furthermore, consider if someone is colour blind, these cards would be an even rougher struggle with all the red/yellow/green text mixed in with the white on dark. It feels like they went for a 'feel' or a vibe, and compromised readability in the process.Visually, they would be better off going with a white background, and brighter colours, in my personal opinion. If none of that bothers you, the actual information itself is well written, the instructions clear, the explanations and dosage charts, all of that is going to assist anyone who needs to study up on pharmacology - not just paramedics or EMTs. Sure, some of the information may not relate to every job, but the overall value of studying it is worthwhile.I would recommend, (with the above caveats) for anyone in healthcare who needs to know advanced pharmacology.
