These work very well on my CD's and DVD's
I use these on music CD's and photo DVD's that I make. They don't smudge or smear. Great product.

Nice Replacement for Sharpie or Memorix CD/DVD Markers
These are nice replacements for the Sharpie and Memorix CD/DVD markers that are no longer manufactured. Searched quite a while and found a reference to the Staedtler Lumocolor pens on a disc archive forum, so tracked these down on Amazon. They are a bit pricey but seem to write darker and hold up longer on the DVD surfaces. The Sharpies had a tendency to fade after a while and were not that dark to start with. These particular Staedtler markers are in limited supply on Amazon, so not sure where to find them in the future. There is a fine point version of these that appear to have more availability so could use those if necessary. Some archivists believe the regular Sharpie permanent markers will eventually damage DVDs, so going to use these Staedtler markers just in case.

Very nice point on a permanent marker, come in a sturdy storage case
I purchased these in the hope of replacing the discontinued "extra fine" Sharpie that I used for labeling items in the freezer. I needed a permanent marker with a fine tip but not so fine that it would puncture ziploc bags when I wrote on them. These pens write beautifully and I would definitely order more. They are a little too fine for writing on plastic storage bags for the freezer, but the ink is dark, the points are very sturdy and I think they will last a long time.

Perfect for Prizm Autos
I wanted a pen that worked for signing Prizm shinny cards like refractors (the metal looking cards) and such. I watched a video on YouTube by Pro Set, and this is what they give athletes to sign their cards. These work flawlessly, dry instantly, and don't smuge. These are better than Sharpies. They are a bit more expensive than Sharpies but for signing cards you cant take any chances.

Left uncapped they out more slowly than others
If you leave these uncapped for a few hours they don't dry out. However, when capped they do dry out after a few years. I use them on maps including on waterproof paper. The writing dries almost instantly and does not smear but is not entirely waterproof. If you wet the ink it smears a little but not enough to be a problem on paper or waterproof maps. The case is stiff transparent plastic with attached folding cover.
