Very good product. Excellent customer services
Seems to be a good product although I am writing this in the spring and won't be able to tell if it is really good until the winter (I live in an area where there is no rain until about October). Very, very good customer service. It seems that I applied too much product on my new leather jacket and complained like this:"I did use the product on my beautiful, new Cole Haan leather jacket (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JELS5J4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I have no doubt that it is good for the leather and waterproofs it. But the product has left a nasty, white film/residue all over the jacket. This is not good. Please, what can I do?"Got a very useful reply back:"We'll get this fixed up nice and clean. From the sound of it, I'd wager the leather couldn't absorb all of the conditioner that was given to it. After some amount, the wax began to clog up the pores and the remaining conditioner was left on the surface. I'd buff off all the residue you can with a soft cloth, and perhaps use a leather cleaner or a small bit of rubbing alcohol on the rest. The most important part is to clear up the pores and let the conditioner run its course. Apart from that, it should be able to take care of itself - leather's resilient like that. Let me know if that works for you. I could take a week for the jacket to return to a balanced texture. Finished leather has a protective film covering that inhibits conditioner from absorbing quickly - this is excellent for weather and spills, but makes it very easy to overcondition. To avoid this, I'd recommend only using a little conditioner at a time - only as much as the jacket will absorb. Once the conditioner stops absorbing, buff off any residue and let the jacket set overnight."I would buy it again. But be careful not to apply too much of the product!

Fantastic.
I live in Southeast Alaska, so I get a lot of rain and snow, and while Saddleback guarantees their leather to be waterproof, I wanted to take extra precautions. I was very hesitant to buy it and try it due to the reviews saying it darkens leather, and the fact that no-one had posted pictures of the chestnut color. I own a Front Pocket backpack in Chestnut and absolutely adore the color, so I wanted to keep it that way. After getting rained on for about a week, I decided it was time to take the plunge, and boy, was I glad I did. It turns out, there was nothing to be worried about. I'll try to post some pictures of the before and after, but I really didn't see any difference whatsoever, and now the thing can hold up during a torrential downpour. I gave it the shower test and water beaded up and rolled right off. Top-notch stuff.Concerns:-For those people wondering how it smelled- I couldn't smell it at all.-The pad that came with it seemed to be of high quality, but I would recommend rinsing it/ washing it first, as there were some fuzzies/strands of cotton that dotted the leather during the treatment.-It comes in a squeeze bottle, which was a huge relief to me. The consistency is a little bit runnier than toothpaste.I think the instructions could use some work. It doesn't tell you exactly how much to put on, so I ended up drenching my bag in the stuff. No biggie, it just made my bag softer.-It says allow 15-30 minutes setting time. I recommend letting it dry overnight.-Also remember to clean the leather beforehand, or like me, the treatment will be a little splotchy in some areas.-One last thing- some of the dye rubbed off of the leather onto the pad. Not a huge concern to me, as the bag remains untouched, but that's just my experience.

Happy with the results, so far
Love the product so far! I have a large leather backpack that was pretty scuffed and starting to get worn out, but after a single coat of the product it already looks great! Also used it on several pairs of boots, ranging from newer boots to hopelessly old & falling apart boots. As others have noted, it did darken one pair of boots a little bit, but I anticipated this and don't mind. It's pretty clear though that this stuff won't work well with lighter & untreated leather. It doesn't appear to enhance the shine of the leather, or to dull it either.I haven't had an opportunity to test how well it works as a water protectant, but so far I'm willing to bet my boots & backpack will hold up pretty well... I look forward to continuing to use Chamberlain's Leather Milk on all my leather products going forward. Also, as soon as my order went through, I was promptly contacted by the company via e-mail. They offered directions & advice on how to use the product, as well as an invitation to reach out to them with further questions.

Perfect!
When I saw that this is the only product that Saddleback leather recommends, I knew that it was the right one to trust for my new AllSaints leather jacket. Saddleback is serious about their leather! The applicator that comes with the package was perfect for applying the product, and it was easy to distribute evenly on my jacket. It was surprisingly moisturizing for a waterproofer, and my leather still feels soft and supple yet any water that gets on it beads up and doesn't soak in. I've already used it on all my leather boots and a leather purse! The other great thing about this product is the smell, or maybe I should say the lack of smell. Compared to a lot of other leather care products it has almost no odor. A little goes a long way, so the bottle will last you forever. Give it a try!
