The Perfect Child Carrier For Babies & Adults
I recently purchased the Osprey Poco Deluxe Child Cockpit for our family adventures, and I couldn’t be happier with this investment! This child carrier is not only functional but also designed with safety and comfort in mind, making it perfect for hiking and outdoor activities with young ones.**Safety and Comfort:**The fully framed and padded cockpit provides a secure environment for my child. The adjustable Double Halo harness gives me peace of mind, ensuring that my little one is safe and snug while we’re on the move. The soft contact surfaces and anatomical fit keep my child comfortable, and the ventilated side panels are a great addition for warm days, preventing overheating during hikes.**Adjustable Fit:**The 6” torso length adjustment is fantastic! It allows me to tailor the carrier for various body types while on the go, ensuring a comfortable fit for both my child and me. This feature makes it convenient for multiple caregivers to use the same carrier without hassle.**Storage Options:**The zippered front panel pocket and stretch mesh compartment are incredibly handy for storing essentials like snacks, keys, and other small items needed during our outings. The zippered lower storage compartment is also a great feature, providing additional space for a water bottle or a light jacket, keeping everything organized and easily accessible.**Quality and Durability:**The quality of the materials used in the Osprey Poco Deluxe is evident. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, withstanding the rigors of outdoor use. The removable machine-washable drool pad is a practical touch that makes cleaning up after our adventures simple and stress-free.**Overall Experience:**Overall, I highly recommend the Osprey Poco Deluxe Child Cockpit for parents looking for a reliable and comfortable child carrier. Its combination of safety features, adjustable fit, and thoughtful design makes it a standout choice for outdoor family activities. My child loves riding in it, and I love the convenience it provides for our adventures. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and can’t wait to explore more with my little one!

Cadillac Of Carrier
If you love to hike and want to make it a family excursion with your toddler in tow, then this Osprey Poco carrier is for you. It has all the features that you may need, and then some. It's quite comfortable to wear, and it's very sturdy. The padding provides comfort, and the torso adjustability allows either me or my husband to use it with ease. We have taken turns wearing this for hours, and the sweating is very minimal due to the breathable feature in its fabric. I also love the sun shade which is a must to protect your child's skin during any outdoor activity.

Absolutely love it - makes hiking with toddlers doable
Awake and hungry? Pouch full of snacks. Need your water, it's right here. Sleepy, knock out, I'll pull the sun shade. Tantrum, ripping my hair out? I'll need a helmet, but I can wear it and still carry you, tantrum or not. That's the reality of hiking with a small child. In my house we knowingly accept the extra effort it takes to bring the kids on adventures and feel it's worth it.My kids have been to Zion, the Grand Canyon (north rim), Haleakala, and a bizillion small trails. They used to ride in a Deuter, now they have the Osprey Poco. The Poco is a little beefier than the Deuter. I think the main thing is that it's easier to use and more of a permanent stand up shape than the Deuter that collapses almost automatically. I prefer the stiffer leg out so that I can set the kid/pack down solo and don't need someone to pop it out for me.There's tons of space, tons of pockets. The belt is comfortable like a good backpacking pack.If you think of it a bit like riding a horse with saddle but in mostly a standing position, that's how you get the kid comfortable. There's plenty of adjustment. Much like a child carrying sling you need to not cut off circulation to the legs, after that it's no big deal. The breathable back they put into Osprey stuff is super helpful on even a mildly hot day. You're going to sweat, but their AirSpeed back panel allows lots of airflow, so you'll at least be able to dry off.

A Great Pack, With Some Questions
The pack itself is indisputably great. Good quality, good construction, typical Osprey innovation and utility. My questions, and the reason for decrementing the star are: Is this the LT model? It seems so, though the booklet attached suggests that it is the Poco, which appears to be discontinued. If this is discontinued, why is the price point relatively high to the market (the green version is even more expensive than this black unit)? The backpack is out of the box new, and has tags and a booklet attached. I'm a litttle confused
