Post roofing must-have.
I never write reviews, but after having a roofing job done, this product was exactly what I needed for the price. The roofers had a much more complicated magnetic device which worked fine on hard surfaces, but grass wiped nails right off, making it ineffective. I needed to remove nails frequently as they accumulated on my magnetic sweeper, and using this involved significant effort to cover the perimeter of my house, but I'm hopeful these efforts will prevent a flat tire on my mower.

Lightweight and easy to use
Lightweight and easy to assemble. The aluminum makes it easy to clean off also. Its not big or heavy duty, I am happy for the price point.

Poor construction. Does the job though.
Magnet works great on gravel and in the yard. The low cost however is your sign that this thing is poorly constructed. Handle constantly loosens with no firm way of tightening. It also does not extend to 38 inches as the ad claims - or at least, that is what I received. I'm dumbfounded by the magnetic tray that is included. No where in the instructions do you see where the magnetic tray may attach. I came here to watch the manufacturers video which normally I never have to do, and even that does not show you. So, placement of the tray is questionable. Or is it even supposed to attach to the device? I wouldn't know, as the box, instructions, video, ad description, etc, doesn't give any clue. Four stars because the magnet is doing it's job.

It's alright...
This is an ok roller magnet. Putting it together wasn't terrible, but the strength of the magnet isn't the greatest. It definitely didn't pick up all the metal pieces we had in our yard, and we had to pick some of them up by hand. I guess you get what you pay for.

Great at finding roofing nails
I recently had my roof replaced. This tool helped me find a lot of nails the roofers left in my driveway and my lawn. A lot of them were covered by ice and snow and I found them as the snow melted. I don't blame the roofers.

Worked well picking up nails in a parking lot after a deck demolition!
