The Whirlpool Washable Delicates Bag is made of mesh and measures 15.5" x 16.5". You can use it in your washing machine to wash items like bras, panties, pantyhose, and other small items. I'm very pleased with the Whirlpool Washable Delicates Bag - it does a great job. It is a nice size - you can fit several items in it at once. I use it mainly for my bras and wash up to a weeks worth of bras at one time with no problem-the bras come out nice and clean and the bag protects them from the damage that can happen from being tossed around in a washing machine and dryer. The mesh is very durable and is holding up quite well to the wear and tear of being used in the washing machine and dryer. I also like the zipper closure as it keeps my delicates securely in the bag. I really like the Whirlpool Washable Delicates Bag.

Note: this review is written by Eric's wife! I bought this laundry bag last year and it works great to protect my delicate and hand wash items. I have a front loading washing machine and even though I always use delicate or hand wash for such items, it can be a little rough on clothes even at the slower rotational speeds. I use the bag about 1-2 times per week and have had no issues with the zipper or any other quality issues. I don't think it will last forever, but I am sure that I will get much more than $6.59 of value out of it. It is a bit small, so I am purchasing another.

The seams were already coming out on this when I opened the package, none of the seams had been backtacked which means they will come completely apart sooner than later. Also the zipper is a very cheap quality zipper and I would not be surprised if it breaks promptly as they did not stich closed the ends properly. The zipper also has two sharp points that stick out, which appear to be intended to lock the zipper flat, however it doesn't hold there well, and if it pops up these two sharp points could easily snag other items in the wash! If you have a sewing machine, and plan to keep this, I would highly recommend to reinforce all the seams, and go across the zipper ends on the inside seam many, many times to ensure these the zipper will not come apart. I also had to find another piece of fabric to create a pocket for the zipper to slide into such that it does NOT snag anything else in the wash AND stays closed... with a few quick fixes I think these will work well though. I purchased a set of Whitmore laundry bags at the same time, which are much higher quality than these and don't have any of the above mentioned defects.

I always have a hard time keeping up with my wool socks that I wear year round for either the warmth or the wicking properties in the heat. Of course, wool socks are rather expensive.....it's really frustrating when they keep disappearing in the wash or get separated before the wash. This is the perfect size to put on top of my laundry basket & keep my socks in until wash day. Very happy with the size & quality.

I bought this for my wife as a gift. She has never owned one before, needless to say, neither have I, so this is our first experience using a delicates laundry bag. That being said, I can't compare it to any other products out there. I can say that I feel like it gets the job done. It's not very big, but we don't have many delicates that get washed (only a few bras a week). Some things I don't particularly like about it is that if you're not careful you can accidentally flip the bag inside out. Not something terribly difficult to change, but it does become inconvenient when you have to take everything out to put it to the right side to zip it up. The fabric that is used around the zipper seems to also be a bit frayed, which sometimes the frayed pieces get stuck in the zipper and then it takes a bit of tugging and pulling to free the zipper again. Lastly, there's not really a convenient place to store it when it's not in use that we've found. Keeping your clean laundry in it in a drawer works, but that's inconvenient and not great storage for your delicates. You don't want to store your dirty laundry in it with your clean laundry either. Other than those few things it seems to be doing it's job well.

I don't know why I waited so long to get this amazingly handy little thing. I've finally caught up with all that delicates washing that had been waiting for me to do it by hand. The perfect accompaniment to this is a sweater drying rack. :) [June 11, 2013: Raised rating to 5 star since, despite the zipper seeming flimsy when I got it, it's holding up to use in regular wash loads very well.]

I purchased this item based on a good customer rating here at Amazon, but I haven't had the luck that others obviously had. I used this bag once a week for approximately 3 months ( less than 12 times total ) and it's already come apart at the seams. The zipper was the first to go ... unraveling from the end where it meets the corner of the bag, and then it came off completely, and that same end corner grew a large hole. It's completely useless at this point. I won't be getting another one.

This bag works absolutely terrific. The zipper is sturdy and doesn't come open in the wash, the bag is large enough to fit somewhat larger delicates (large bras or full length night gowns) but still able to be used for smaller items and keep them protected during washing. The bag itself is well put together, good seems and mesh. Great item and totally worth purchasing!
