Easy. Amazing recipies
I don’t have a specific autoimmune disorder but do have food intolerances, some acute, others tolerable. I have been mainly paleo for a lot of years now and have tried strict AIP to help with gastric problems, inflammation, pain and general fatigue. The protocol worked very well and improved my general health. I found however that I became bored with eating mainly the same things and resented not eating the same as my family. This book is full of recipes that both I and my family can enjoy together. I have tried the honey lime chicken and peach salsa and the sweet potato gratin. There are many recipes I can’t wait to try. So lovely to have a book with easy AIP recipes and not too many ingredients. Thank you Sophie for making it easy and interesting to follow the AIP protocol.

I wish I had this book 1 year ago when my AIP journey begun. Sophies book has really simplified my planning and time in the kitchen, but most of all giving me a large variety of delicious easy meals to feed my family!

A bible for AIP!!!!
A fantastic book, have tried loads of things from here and so far everything has been incredible! Guacemole, minestrone, thai curry! Delicious! When i start AIP next month this will be my bible!!!

Good for ideas but you might need to tweak with the recipes
Some recipes in this book are really good and definitely give you ideas, especially if you are a relatively good cook and have a feel for tweaking with recipes. On the other hand, some recipes do not turn out to be as great as in the picture or as you would expect. This might be because (as some other reviewers have pointed out) the quality of the ingredients might differ in each country. There are some controversies as well with regards to what can you eat and what to avoid. For example, at the beginning of the book vanilla is on the no-no list but still used in some recipes. (There is probably a reason for this but it's not explained in the book).Also, be prepared that since most starchy and dairy food will be banned from the diet, most dishes will use coconut flour or coconut milk (plus loads of coconut oil) which will make everything taste like coconuts. This is obviously not the author's fault, as the AIP diet is quite limited.If you consider doing this diet, I'd suggest you read through the book to get some ideas about what sort of ingredients you'll need and make good preparations well in advance! And be ready to experiment with the recipes. I find the easiest AIP diet is if you simplify it to only meat, some fruits (except nightshades) and leafy green vegetables. For those who miss the starch (bread, crackers, pasta etc.) and dessert, this book will provide some good alternatives!

Dissatisfied
It’s okay if you’re happy to have every recipe introduced with “you can’t eat many things BUUUUT…”. Gee thanks. I know. Let’s focus on what we can eat on AIP, shall we? Oh and I live in London. I don’t recommend this to someone who isn’t familiar with American diet and South American based recipes. I’m not interested in Tacos, pancakes for breakfast and other meals like that. Dessert for breakfast isn’t going to heal you. Sorry. I’ll stick to my salmon and avo. I’ll be looking elsewhere for help with my new lifestyle change. If you’re American and don’t mind the added, incessant reminder of how brutal this diet is, this is for you.

This is a fantastic book! I highly recommend it for people with autoimmune diseases who think they can never have anything good to eat. It has amazing recipes!

Lots of good information and recipes
The title says it all. If you’re interested in starting this type of diet then this is a good book to start with. Interesting and good tasting recipes.
