It works good for bank fishing. I mostly use it to find drop offs and holes. It cast pretty good with a medium heavy action rod.

The setup is quick and easy Follow every step exactly as the instructions say and there are no issues I had excellent results on the first try for an hour with the “deeper start” then the device stopped working and would not connect to wifi The comprehensive troubleshooting guide helped me find the issue quickly ( which turned out to be a phone setting ) Give the unit time to connect . It can be a little slow. The graphics are excellent, the schools of salmon were located quickly However, remember that even when you find them they may not be on the bite!😆

I have a local lake that I bank fish and I had no real idea of depth and structure. I decided to give this Deeper START a shot and see what it could do. This device is about idiot proof. The instructions are clear and concise, and it worked immediately with my first cast into the water. I have had no issue with connectivity except under one condition - windy, choppy water. If it is still and just bobbing up and down over the chop you will lose connectivity. When I started reeling it in slowly it maintained connection. As for accuracy, I think the depth readings are vegetation readings are accurate and I use that knowledge to pick lures etc. As for finding fish I think the jury is still out (but i have only used it a handful of times). The device marks fish of course but I have not actually caught anything based on the markings. For the price I think this is a fun gadget to own. I could spend all day just throwing it out and reeling it in just to see what's underwater. For just a simple bank fisherman like me it gets the job done.

I was reluctant to buy it due to the price being affordable. I just kept waiting for something to go wrong, not work, or not connect. I have to say I am thankful that I bought it. It works and is a lot of fun. There were days we just went to map out the lake and never even fished! I almost lost it once as my line broke on the cast!!! Ouch! But with some luck and patience I was able to recover it. Lesson learned. I use braided line now lol!

As a lot of other negative reviews have said, it loses connection a LOT. Like usually every other case. I had to completely shut off wifi and turn it back on for it to reconnect a number of times. Maybe its an issue with the device working with Androids. Very inaccurate, many false positives. For this price point the quality is so poor the only use for it is as a depth finder. Dont buy it for finding fish cause it will mark ones that arent there and not mark the ones that are there. Im returning it. It has a severe inability to read through denser water and it will then err on placing fish in it. The thermocline showed up as a heavy haze even at lower sensitivity. Im told the Pro+ model is a lot better and was shown screen shots from a local guy and it indeed looks better. Im not going to invest $200 in something I may use 2-3 times a year. But this one, avoid it unless you just want it to just show you depth. I tried reeling it very very slow and also fast and everyone in between. I took it to a pond that was 10 feet deep and fully known to not have fish, and it shows quite a few fish, large ones even. I could cast it about 35 feet with a 7.5 foot medium-light ugly stick using 15# braided line.

Ok so I've had this thing going on 4 or 5 years and have never had a issue with it easy to use and is telling the truth on your screen. Not like others when it will say a rock or stick is a fish. Tip just make sure its charged up lol. If you bank fish or even in a small jon boats and dont want to spend bass pro shop money. This is the way to go.

Update: 3/4/2021 Finally Deeper support cleared out my issue! I am a happy camper! New one works perfectly and connects! __________________________________ Update: 2/23/2021 Received new one. Same issue as before. The unit does not display Deeper START in the Wifi network like the first one I purchased that stopped working after a week. Tried on two different phones, laptops and tablets. What does appear is ESP_2B6442 which is the device but support clarified that is wrong. Nonetheless I tried to connect to that and it immediately fails. So a 3rd unit now does this. Contacting support again and they are sending another one. Wifi+ is off, there is no VPN and the phone has been restarted to eliminate any issues. Device placed on charge or in water and away from other Wifi devices and no effect. Unit is flashing that's it's broadcasting, app has all permissions also but that does not matter when the correct Wifi name can not be connected to. Unit is fully charged, Mobile/Cellular data is off, WiFi assist is off, Smart network management does not exist, Portable WiFi hotspot is off. That covers anything and still does not work properly. I have spent days to make it work and 3 in a row are doing this. I sent them back and waiting for support to diagnose what is going on, Deeper application has permission to use "Mobile/Cellular" and "Location". To check this, go to your "Phone settings" -> "Application settings" and find "Fishdeeper". __________________________________ Update: 2/19/2021 After speaking with Deeper support they determined a second unit is faulty? They are sending another replacement. I asked they test it before sending it out and they stated they will. Customer service is great but having the company in Lithuania and having to wait to get a replacement from there puts a damper on my fishing schedule and usage of the Deeper. Will update once received. __________________________________ Update: 2/14/2021 New unit received and same issue. Deeper does not appear on list of Wifi devices to connect to. Does not appear on my Huawei Mate 10 nor my LG K10 nor my new Asus Zenbook nor on my Samsung Galaxy tablet nor on my Dell PC Wifi network. It appears to be a bad batch/series? I have emailed support again to see what they will do again. Initially the first unit I had would display Deeper in the Wifi list to connect to. Then it never appeared again and now only displays ESP_280119 which I know is the unit due to the serial number but you can never connect to it. It just fails when you try. This is what both units are doing now. I have emailed their support for an answer but I mentioned that it appears they have a bad batch of these and are not being certified tested leaving the factory. __________________________________ Update: 2/13/2021 4 stars now. After contacting support, they determined my unit was faulty. They are sending a new replacement at no charge via UPS. Will see how the replacement is received and how it works. __________________________________ Update: 2/8/2021 Changed from 1 to 2 star for now. After contacting Deeper support they (quickly, one day turn time) determined that the unit is to exchanged. Now that is what I call excellent service! I will update again once this issue is resolved and the replacement is received and how it works and what occurred with Deeper support. __________________________________ Initial review: 2/4/2021 Purchased a week ago. Only used it once and it worked perfectly. One week later it does not work anymore. Does not show in Wi-Fi anymore to connect to. Contacted support. Never seen a device fail so quickly with hardly any usage, disappointing.

Molto intuitivo e maneggevole.lo schermo è molto facile e intuitivo da capire. Per chi e alle prime armi e non ha bisogno di mappature e geolocalizzazione è un ottimo prodotto ad un ottimo prezzo. This piece of garbage just straight up doesn't work, after I put it in the water the wifi signal doesn't even show up at all, on the rate occasion it does I can't even join the network, I suspect it's due to the wifi connection only flashes briefly so by the time I click on them the connection is lost again. The device is fully charged, I've turned off auto join, forgot my usual network, disabled wifi assist, restarted my phone, updated bios, nothing worked because it's not my problem, I will be leaving a one star review and return this pile of dogturd, the fact that a unit THIS FAULTY can escape QA is pure insanity.
