As someone who holds my crochet hook like a magic wand, rather than a pencil, comfort is very important to me. However, the hook has to also be smooth enough to allow the stitches to move along it, as the way I hold the hook requires me to allow the stitches to move up and down on the hook. These hooks were amazing. They were comfortable to hold, beautiful and so smooth that the stitches move along the hook exactly as I need. Because they're made of wood, instead of plastic, my hand doesn't sweat, and they're nicer for the environment!

I got these to use with jumbo chunky yarn. I love how smooth the hook feels and it works well with the yarn. But it would be better if the hook would be about 2-3 inches longer to have space for your grip.

I have enjoyed using these hooks. I found them to be TOTALLY devoid of the familiar drag some wooden hooks have when fibers slide across to make the loops. I found absolutely no rough edges, irregular shaping, and these are gorgeous. I love the finishing and seeing the wood. I actually knit more than crochet. I love using chunky and super chunky chenille yarns to make REALLY quick knitted blankets. I prefer nice and neat edges that stretch. I cast on and off in crochet chain and these fit my needs to perfection. I am now wanting to crochet chenille blankets because of how awesome they were to use with knitted versions. The value is awesome for the price. Just one name brand hook in Wal-Mart, Michael's, Hobby Lobby cost $15 and up according to size. Some shops charge about $60 for multisize pack. You got all three for about less than half if you went to a shop. They are sturdy; if you take care of them correctly, you'll be able to pass them on to a loved one as a token of love. My grandmother did similarly for me with knitting needles and Crochet hooks. I cherish and use them which makes it as if she's still here helping me work my project. You will love these hooks.

The hooks are light and would be easy to use aside from the fact that my 15 mm has a notch just under the hook that snags on my yarn when I pull it through. It's totally shredding up my project. I haven't tried the other sizes yet, but I've already had to order a replacement 15 mm hook (this time I went with plastic). Maybe this is just a problem with wooden hooks? Anyway... That issue aside, the hooks are overall okay - a good weight and (aside from that one sliver) smooth to work with.

These hooks turned out to be much bigger than I expected! This was in no way the fault of the listing as I just failed to take millimeter measurements. But the hooks themselves are a strong wood. They were cut with precision and sanded very well. If these had any burs in the hook, this would snag onto any and all yarns which would make the activity very tiresome. However these were cut very smooth and had no snags or burs anywhere! Very nice quality. As I said, the size was much bigger than I expected, so I included all three hooks next to an average sized pencil for comparison. The stained color of these hooks is very nice and natural looking also. Overall, I believe the pricing isn't crazy for these three hooks. Hopefully they'll be just the size you need for your next blanket or other larger project!

I love these high quality homemade wooden crochet hook set. I made my first project with the middle size hook of the group. It is a decorative type scarf to wear with a light green top I have. It is made from a strip of lacy fabric and the new hook make it an easy project and I finished it relatively quickly. The hook is comfortable, smooth and deep enough to hold the loose lacy fabric easily so I didn't drop stitches. I can't wait to find a project to use the other two hooks with large yarn.

Love my hooks!! They slide so easily and the yarn does not get caught on them. I've made many scarves since I got them and I keep reaching for them for every project.

A bit stickier than metal hooks but all in all great product. For the size of hook they are not too heavy at all
