Great Layout, Poor Fabric Choice, Not worth the Up-Charge
I assumed this would be made with the same durable construction as canvas Domke bags despite the change in materials. Instead upon delivery I found it was made out of the flimsiest ripstop fabric I’d ever felt. Due to this lightweight fabric the bag feels entirely unstructured and dumpy besides the bottom which has a thick plastic insert seen in that feels like it’s going to burst through the thin nylon at any second. All this could be forgivable if it actually functioned as a camera bag but since the sides of this model are only a single layer of the thin nylon it’s not too useful for protection. Perhaps the the lightest duty 35mm compacts or digicams would work here, maybe a Richoh GR if you’re feeling ambitious. The bag could not handle the weight of my Fujifilm XT5 and 1 extra prime. All this is not to rag on Domke. I bought the same bag again in the ballistic nylon material which is far superior on all counts, padded sides, sturdy material, keeps rough form. I just think this model does not live up to the rest and certainly doesn’t deserve a premium up-charge over them!

Great bag if you know what you’re getting
I don’t think the reviews here paint a complete picture of this bag, so I’ll offer an alternative take. I think the size is ideal for an all day carry; any larger and it would be too heavy. The bag avoids the additional pockets and add-ons common to other camera/lifestyle bags. This is designed for pros with camera gear only. I opted for this nylon version because I liked how light and weather resistant this is versus the canvas bag. When you need your bag every day of a trip, the canvas bags can be a pain if it gets wet. They dry slowly. One feature that I love is the strap. It is thick and comfortable without an additional shoulder pad that needs to be fiddled with. The bag also feels very sturdy. I don’t know how well the nylon will age versus the canvas, but it is a chance I’m willing to take. Buyers should know this bag doesn’t offer much protection for your gear. That’s nice because the bag become light and flexible when it’s nearly empty. It isn’t a concern if your gear is provided by your employer. For “prosumers” like myself who paid for my own gear, I added some extra camera dividers to provide more protection. I didn’t mind having to customize it. My main complaint about the bag is that it comes with the small camera insert. The larger insert - for sale separate for $40 - fits the bag perfectly and really should be the default option. It is an overpriced bag, but I’m very happy with it.

Lightweight
Great lightweight bag kind of gives the impression that it might not protect the contents. But with proper positioning you should be fine.

Light duty only
The canvas version is much better than this rip stop version. The bag is very thin, more than I anticipated for what is typically very durable material. I did not put this bag into use when I opened the package and realized just how thin the material is. The F2 is not known for being exceptionally protective in the first place but the canvas version which is also available on Amazon is a superior product unless you only want to carry less valuable gear. There is no waterproofing with the rip stop version but you shouldn’t expect there to be any. However, the oiled or waxed canvas bag does offer a touch more weather protection. I would not recommend the rip stop bag to anyone unless you understand the walls of the bag, including the end pockets, have no shape or strength to them. They completely flop in on themselves and provide no structure. The canvas version is an excellent bag and is the one I purchased to keep.

Much smaller than expected. Had to return it.
I recently purchased a second body and kit lens for my Sony system. Now I have two Sony Alpha 330s and four additional lenses, so I outgrew my beloved old Tamrac bag. Going by the description and photos in this listing, I thought this would be the perfect bag for my stuff. The insert held the four lenses okay, but I could hardly get even one of the cameras in the bag. It was a tight fit in both directions. I can't be the only person in the world who owns this configuration of camera equipment, but you would think so given that no camera bag exists that is just right for two bodies with lenses and some extra lenses. I have looked everywhere, including eBay listings for vintage bags. Every bag is either way too small or way too big. This Donke bag would be fine if it were about 3 inches bigger on the long side and about 2 inches bigger from front to back. Maybe bag makers think that everyone has mirrorless cameras, but not everyone does. Another thing about this bag - it has no padding at all around the sides. The only padding is on the bottom and in the insert for the lenses. A camera could get damaged just from something in the side pocket. I hope someday I'll find the right bag - for now, I will have to keep my system in two separate bags. Bummer.
