Bucktons Premium Wild Bird Seed Mix, 20 kg, transparent

Have used this mix for several years now on both a large table, 3ft square and large enough to attract ground feeding birds, and hanging feeders, and it attracts a wide range of birds. Unlike many cheap feeds it is not bulked up with wheat, just a small quantity of flaked wheat, and as a no mess blend the mix is virtually all feed and you don't end up with seed husks, particularly sunflower, around the seed area - husks, incidentally, you are paying for. There is no waste and the birds clear the seed from the table daily so is obviously popular. There are cheaper blends but check both the mix, wheat being relatively cheap, and the weight, Buckton's is 20kg, many of the cheaper ones are 12.5kg. Incidentally, while the large seeds of wheat appeal to larger birds which can deal with them, such as pigeons and doves, they are not that fussy and will happily feed on anything on offer such as wheat free, including flaked wheat, mixes, which will also attract the equally opportunistic crow family from carrion crows and rooks to jays and magpies. The big birds squabble among themselves from time to time, but seem to leave the little birds eating alongside them in peace.

Excellent. Birds love it, especially in this cold weather. Reasonably priced, well packed and delivered on time. One of the very few brands I have tried where there is no mess. Birds eat it all. From blue tits, great tits, long-tailed tits up to starlings with many sparrows and finches. The very little that they accidentaly drop or spill is eaten straight away by blackbirds or doves. It has bee a life saver for many birds here on the side of a mountain in south Wales.

Birds love this seed. Sadly last 3 bags have arrived in 2/ 3 bags as original bag burst. Royal Mail delivery.

The reed buntings have returned! This is a mix which is appreciated by many wild birds and it is a joy to watch them feed. The item was delivered early which was great, given that we were in the middle of a freeze. Thank you.

Very happy with this wild bird seed. There is a good variety of Kibbled Maize, Naked Oats, Red Dari, Red Millet, Yellow Millet, Kibbled Sunflower Hearts, White Dari, Canary Seed, Pinhead Oatmeal, Kibbled Peanuts, Safflower Seed, Panicum Millet, Hempseed, Japanese Millet and Nyjer Seed in the mix & the birds love it. There is no wastage with this seed. I ordered it on a Saturday & it arrived the next day, which was great.

My garden birds love this food. I have a robin, sparrows, wren, collared dove, blackbirds and a family of wood pidgeons. The food is not (no grow) so I feed the birds and once they have eaten it all from the feeders I leave it a day or two for them to clear all the seeds from the ground and I have had no problems with the seeds sprouting. The packaging is strong, the clear plastic is thick and the seed is amazing value for money.

Birds like it no waste and no grass growing under the bird stand .
