Clearly Written Introduction to ABA for Parents, ABA Therapists and Educators
This is a very helpful, clearly written book. If you are a parent of a child recently diagnosed with Autism, I think that you will find this book helpful in providing an overview of what ABA is and is not. For ABA therapists, it's a great beginning reference book. I'm glad it's part of my library and I found it easy to understand. There's a lot of new terminology for those just encountering ABA and this book helps to explain those terms and how they connect to each other and how they'll connect to the what you'll see in your child's plan.

An Excellent Introduction to ABA
This book is an excellent introduction to Applied Behavioral Analysis. It covers the foundations and vocabulary of ABA. If you're a parent or teacher working with an ABA therapist that uses a lot of jargon, then this book is a must read. My son's therapist does a good job explaining ABA in plain English, but this book still helped me better understand his therapist's perspective. I can pay closer attention to the relevant details of my son's behavior. Those wanting a deeper understanding of ABA will have to read further, but this book is a great place to start.

Especially good book for novice!
I recommend this book for anyone who knows nothing about applied behavior analysis! It clearly delineates the basic scientific principles upon which the discipline is built. The fact that the treatments and approaches are founded upon past research and not "hunches" about human behavior comes across loud and strong. The terminology is explained in "everyday" language so that any one who is interested does not get bogged down in techncial terms. This problem has plagued those of us who desire others to understand the science.

Very cool book! I landed a job as a behavior ...
Very cool book! I landed a job as a behavior therapist and wanted to learn more about ABA therapy before I began the job. This book was written clearly and concisely and gave me great background information that helped me to become better at my job. Highly recommend this to any therapist, teacher, or parent that works with children with special needs!

Very Brief
This is a very easy, quick read that covers the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis. However, at around 100 pages it is hardly a normal "book" length. For what it is, it should be at most half the price of a full length book. It is more like a long informational pamphlet. That is not to say that it is not useful, just overpriced for what it is.

Good book for novice wondering what ABA is
This books gives a good overview of how ABA can be used to help your child in many different life skills, school subjects, etc. If ABA is recommended for your child, and you are wondering what it's all about, this is a good starting point. Highly recommend!

Great expectations, but it is not what a parent may need.
It is too "boring and dry". I didn't learn anything from it. It goes on and on explaining terms and concepts.

ABA primer
This is an interesting little book, its basically a primer on ABA applied to autism, and goes through the terms and ideas behind this method. You'll certainly need to read more detailed books later to apply any of these ideas, but this is a good starting point, and at around a hundred pages you can go through it quickly.

H.A.R.P - A Resource For Someone - 4 Years After Purchasing
A simple introduction book into an approach I can't get into in its full form. Like all approaches, nothing is a 'one size fits all' approach and there is always something to derive from an approach. Like the symbol exchange inspired by ABA and Behaviour Therapy. - Antony Morris
