This was perfect, looks exactly like the picture and works brilliantly balancing the weights of the numbers and dinosaurs. My little boy loves it and doesn’t even realise how much he’s learning as he’s having so much fun.

I think I like this just as much as my 3 year old granddaughter !!!It’s basically a set of scales with a dinosaur egg in the middle.You place a number on one side and if you put the correct amount of dinosaurs on the other the scales will balance.It’s a great way to teach numbersThere are cards included and various ways touse them depending on ability.My 3 year old granddaughter uses the cards where you place the corresponding number and dinosaurs on top of the card - then transfer the number to one side and the dinosaurs on the other, if she’s got them correct the dinosaurs balance.She loves completing this activity and repeats the cards over and over again.I can’t recommend this scale maths set highly enough. It’s well made, has lots of play value and they are learning at the same time

The media could not be loaded. Balance maths gameI was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.This is a fab little toy to help little ones with maths. You have spaceship style scales, with an astronaut within, this will move side to side until each plate has the even amount on, then it will sit straight, which is cute and helpful. These scales don't feel flimsy, they seem to work well, you can take the plates off for easy storage. The size of this is roughly 18cm tall, 34cm wide and 10cm deep.You have numbers 1-10, these each weigh different amounts, equalling to a matching amount of astronauts, you have 20 of those altogether. You can put a few numbers on a plate a time and you can add the equal amount of astronauts to the other side and it will always add up correctly, that's good as it can help the little count and recognise numbers.You also have 30 cards, each of these cards have additions on one side, the other sides are split into 3 sets. You have 10 cards that show numbers 1-10, again to help them recognise numbers, you have 10 cards with astronauts on, in amounts of 1-10 and the last set of 10 cards, show the astronaut amounts, next to the number figure it equals to.I do think this is a fab little learning game, I would recommend it. Fun and educational at the same time. Slightly more than I expected in price that's all.

This is a well made toy which would be great for investigative learning at home- and equally great in an early years setting.I am currently using it in my Reception class and the children have really enjoyed using it. It comes with 19 little dinosaurs, addition cards and weighted numbers. The weighted numbers will weight the same as the same number of dinosaurs- so you can use it to aid counting and number recognition, or addition. The dinosaur egg in the middle moves as you weigh and is a good fun based way of child led learning provision. Or play based learning at home. My only query was that the number 2- back to front and upside do down can easily be misled for a number 5- so soon sorted when you put 5 dinosaurs on the scales and realise that it doesn't balance- I thought it was an error initially and then realised that it was not the number 5 after all!A great fun based learning product, especially great for dinosaur lovers too!

I think this is a great idea of support for kids to learn to match quantity to number in a fun way. The idea is excellent. The scales seem to work well and are accurate. The dinosaurs are the same weight each and the numbers are weighted according to their number. So every number will be equivalent to the corresponding amount of dinosaurs.You have to be careful when adding or subtracting dinosaurs or when changing the numbers from the scale as it tends to tip it over. What I would have liked is for some sort of markers that would make it clear the quantities are equal as there is only the dinosaur that doesn’t make it clear with its position.It can be fun for little ones and can be helpful for bigger ones too, especially when trying to solve the problems on the cards.

Kids can learn basic numbers, addition and subtraction by balancing out the scale with weighted numbers and plastic dinosaurs.The set comes with a Dino egg weighing scale, mini plastic dinosaurs, plastic weighted numbers, and activity cards.I like the design of the Dino egg. The paint job makes it look like it is cracking. The dinosaur inside moves around with the scale. The design of the dinosaur matches the miniature ones you weigh and it is a bit strange looking but it passes.The plastic numbers are hollow and seem to be filled with beads of varying amounts to weight them differently. This makes some of them rattle when shaken which could be fun for younger kids. I don’t see the numbers coming apart but if they were to break whatever is inside could potentially be a hazard.The scales are made entirely of plastic. There are 2 plastic dishes that just sit on the plastic arms. It does the job but is very lightweight and flimsy. I think it could break easy if your child is a bit rough. They are balanced correctly though.I like that the activity cards have illustrations for various levels. They are good for kids just learning numbers and for older kids that are starting to learn addition and subtraction.Overall a fun little learning game for preschool age kids and higher. The price when I received it was 21.99 which I think is about double what it should be. Cheaply made and overpriced but it does the job.
