Great for first time Nuru
I would give this Nuru gel 5 stars but the time it takes to set up is a little long. It needs to set for at least 20 minutes to remove all the clumps. It is odorless and tasteless and a little goes a long way.

Makes massaging go easier
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this gel because Significant Other has had severe back pains in the last couple of weeks and massaging sometimes helps the muscles relax. Without being too slippery or at all oily, and with no discernible residue, this helps my hands slide over the skin better and not just rub it raw. It has a a mucus-like to gel-like consistency depending on how much you mix up. The peach scented variety has a nice peach aroma similar to a lot of peachy bath products I have used.Mixing up the gel is a different kind of experience. It's similar to trying to mix corn starch into hot water without getting any blobs. They show a hand in the gel on the package for the preparation step. I do strongly recommend mixing it with your hand to get an even consistency. Unless you go two an electric mixer, simple mixing with a spoon is not going to give you a nice, smooth result. In the future, I am also going to take a page from good cooking techniques and mix the powder with only a small amount of water at first so that it's easier to get smooth. I didn't find the process of mixing it to unpleasant. The goo feels nice between your fingers and I find it somewhat satisfying to work out the lumps in the same way that bubble wrap can be satisfying when you pop it.Overall, I am very happy with this product. I like the smell. I am happy with how well it works for massage. What I actually like best about it, though, is how economical it is and how environmentally friendly it is to buy massage gel as a powder. As long as i'm careful in my measurements, i can mix up as much or as little as I need at one time and then just store the rest of the small bag of powder away. I realize that for many people, having it as a powder will be exactly what they dislike about this product. No, it's not as convenient as buying a prepared gel. It just depends on what your priorities are. I like that there is less waste and less cost and less to store.

Once you figure out the right formula, it’s fantastic!
This massage powder-to-gel formula was new to me and has a learning curve when mixing but it feels amazing to use. I used it for a short, 20 minute massage so for people who give longer massages, I don’t know this works over time. As the person providing the massage I found it a little runny so I added a little more powder but the liquid was at room temp with visible clumps so it didn’t thicken. To make it thicker I had to make a new batch with less water (400mL). I had less clumps when I added the powder gradually over 5 minutes.First attempt I didn’t realize the water was supposed to be 104 degrees Fahrenheit and I used cool tap water. It was very clumpy and runny.Second attempt I used 500mL water heated for 2 minutes (too long/too hot) and it was still clumpy and runny.Third attempt I used less water, heated water in microwave for less time, added powder slowly and this created the best consistency. This gel is water soluble and super slick! The consistency is FANTASTIC!! It was not sticky and rinsed off easily with just water. There was no odor and the gel is crystal clear. Honestly, the outcome was worth the trials to get the right consistency.Tip: mix and store it in a silicone squeeze bottle.

Massage Gel
This product is a massage gel powder. To use, you mix the powder with water to create a gel. This product is fragrance free so it doesn’t really smell or have color. I thought it would work well but when I received the package, it was much smaller than I thought it would be so I had to conserve my uses. I also found it somewhat difficult to mix and get the correct consistency for the massage gel. It would end up too thick or too runny which made it difficult to use for massaging. Once I got the correct consistency, it wasn’t too bad to use.

Relaxing and Smells Good!
Smooth and smells good! The directions for use are straightforward. The massage gel offers a relaxing feel and I would love to make this product apart of my regular spa routine. The peach smell has a bursting aroma, combined with the smooth gel it gives me the desired sensation that I need to zone-out and enjoy some me time.

Customizable Massage Gel Powder with Unique Texture
I recently tried this Massage Gel powder and found its texture interesting. Similar to face mask products but slightly slimier. This makes it super slippery, great for massages since it doesn’t absorb quickly and almost lathers during use, providing extended glide. It does absorb and dry on the skin like a face mask or aloe vera, which felt unusual at first since I’m not used to that on my body unless I have sunburn.I really liked being able to customize the gel with my own essential oils (tried it with lavender). However, the recommended ratio of 1 tsp powder to 17 oz water made more gel than expected; I’d make about a quarter or half of that next time. However, unlike the directions specify I used hot instead of warm water to make sure no clumping occurred and waited for it to cool. The texture was initially off-putting but becomes a neat alternative once you adjust. Additionally, I like the company ethics about it creating work opportunities for people with disabilities.Overall, a customizable massage gel worth trying.
