Very simple to make literally in seconds. The can arrived with other canned goods so there was no damage. As good or better than their potato gems. Excellent texture and flavor.

This product last more than a regular one. Excellent not as mashed potatoes, but a great addition to soups and beans!

Easy to microwave

Augason products are generally inexpensive and good quality. I've been a repeat customer for 3 years. My latest purchase the cans were damaged and defeats the whole purpose of storing long term. The item was shipped from Amazon so not sure who to blame, but no one wants dented up food tins as its potentially harmful and will not live up to a 30 year life shelf. So overall Augason is an affordable good quality option for emergency food and shelf life. However, this last order I was disappointed.

As expected f I'm this brand, the product is sealed well, worth the cost, and eases my mind for putting up in case of emergency or for daily use.

The original Potato Gems (purple label) were a delight: Light, fluffy, delicious and decent bang for your buck. The new and “improved” reformulation is absolutely atrocious. Slimy, heavy, with a synthetic aftertaste. And the smell or what did you do with that smell?! Dollar per dollar it’s also a much worse deal. The original 3 lb package retailed under $22 and actually mixed at a 1:2 ratio. The new can is only 1 lb 7 oz, sells for $15 and you have to mix it at 1.5:2 to get anything resembling mashed potatoes. At the recommended 1:2 mix ratio, you get a watery soup.I sincerely hope I just got a bad batch and the rest of the product is not nearly as bad but I’m not holding my breath. Meantime, I am buying up whatever original stock I can get my hands on given its 10 year shelf life.Auguson Farms, please please please bring the original formula back!

I’m deeply disappointed with this. I had bought this brand before they changed something since. It was potato pearls that was very nice. It mixed up well and had a great flavor. Now? The formula has changed and now it’s flaked, mixes to a runny consistency (even after attempting to tweak the amounts). The flavor? Ugh. Very chemical taste. Won’t be buying this again.
