AVR Convert
Okay, I'm moving away from my old Denon AVR and wired speakers to the world of the soundbar. It was either the Sonos or Samsung, and I went with Sonos because I already have 10 other Sonos products, and I liked the idea of them all tied together. That, and from my research, this would be better than the Samsung if I didn't want to add a sub.I'm using the Arc with two ERA 100's as rears, and I'm very impressed. With movies, I'm not missing my AVR at all. Great spatial sound, especially with the rears installed. The clarity of the dialogue is phenomenal, and I haven't had to use the speech enhancement functionality at all.For music? Yeah, this is the weakness. It is "fine" but not great. Adding the two ERA's in the same room definitely helps. Using two ERA 100's linked together does better than the ARC for just music. That said, when not "comparing" it to an AVR, it is solid in terms of music performance. This soundbar is obviously made more for movies than music. I would give it 5 stars for movie watching and 4 stars for a casual music listener. The benefits of having my entire home linked together and the ability to pick and choose what I want to upgrade (and when) make me happy with my choice overall. In terms of the app...I will add that it looks like Sonos has finally gotten over the NIGHTMARE issues with their app. It is still not 100% in terms of all the functionality it should have, but it has been working great for me in the last 4 or 5 months. Enough so that I added this soundbar and 4 new ERA 100's in the previous couple of months.Overall, very happy.

An excellent soundbar
As good a soundbar as there is. Pretty impressive bass response. Impressive spatial placement particularly with eyes closed. But it doesn’t really get going unless you add two ERA100 rear surround speakers and a mini-sub like I did. I have not heard any Dolby Atmos in the height plane but I believe that is because my ceiling is too high and is angled. Music from all streaming services is delivered with full rich pseudo surround sound. True Atmos surround music can only be had by paying for Amazon Music or Apple Music and streaming via the HDTV to the ARC Ultra. Interesting observation, when looking at Netflix, Prime, or AppleTV directories of movies and shows, since got the ARC Ultra now I see the audio description at top of each show indicating Dolby Atmos if available or Spatial Audio, or 5.1. Before I got the ARC I never saw Dolby Atmos as an audio indication.

Little pricey but worth it
Great product, exquisite sound ! The only problem is with the setup. That portion could be a little bit clearer for us older folks. But figured it out and within about 20 minutes up and running, couldn’t be happier with the purchase

Sounds GREAT and EASY to set up !!
I love it - especially with the side speakers - Sonos Era 300 -- I have a small apartment - but the sound goes all around to all rooms and is not too loud to bother other tenants. I am super happy!!! AND so easy to set up !!!

Wow
I had seen good reviews of this soundbar and decided to take the plunge. I have an older Samsung HU9000 curved 4k TV in my living room that only has ARC, not eARC, but it works fine. The Sonos sound is really, really good. The bass response is ridiculously good for a unit this size. Movies and TV sound great, but I was missing Atmos. A new device was just released by CableMatters that allows me to plug my Apple TV into the Sonos. And wow, I mean wow, the Atmos effects are spectacular. I have a Nakamichi Dragon in my home theater which totally blows this away in terms of power, authority, and transparency (not really fair because I don't have the full Sonos setup), but the Atmos effects are surprisingly even better than the Dragon, and the Dragon is amazing. I would say that Sonos totally owns the spatial department, especially with just a minimum setup like I have for my living room.As far as sound I would compare it to a Bose system because it sets up its EQ and surround volumes as a plug and play setup with the app, which is awesome. It has its own warm, rich sound that reminds me of the Bose. It has a really well-tuned and pleasing sound for all types of media. The only drawback is that it does not support DTS-HD Master Audio or DTS:X which I consider the gold standard when it comes to watching movies. Almost all the studios seem to be going to Atmos anyway (sad face) so it won't matter anyway for the future. Also, not having at least one additional HDMI input port was a bad decision on somebody's part.Overall I love this soundbar and if I ever want to expand I have the option to add subs and rear speakers in the future. But honestly, the sound is so good with just the bar that I really have no need to do that. This is a real steal for this price point.

Not compatible with EERO Pro 6 Mesh Network
I wasted several hours trying to setup the Arc Ultra, but whenever it got to Wifi pairing, it would always fail saying the password entered was incorrect. After wasting hours of my life studying Sonos' recommended Eero network configuration, disconnecting every single Eero except the gateway, trying Ethernet setup mode, switching Eero's 5 Ghz and Legacy mode on/off, and going on many other wild goose chases, I gave up and am returning this system. It's a good looking sound bar and I had high hopes based on the reviews I read, but this is more trouble than it's worth. Maybe my network has a birth defect, but I think my setup is pretty standard - FIOS -> Firewall -> Dumb Switch -> 4 wired Eeros (bridge mode). And maybe there's a way to reconfigure my network to get this speaker working, but I am not tearing everything up because Sonos couldn't make sure their speaker would work with very common network devices.

Meh.
Looks sleek. However, the Alexa doesn't always work correctly - will mute the TV while it's speaking. Value for money is poor
