This powder showed me direct proof it worked (when I used tons of it)!
My husband and I rented a place to temporarily live in- waiting for home construction to be completed. We decided on something small and cheap which, it turns out, was a bad and poorly made choice and now I wish I wouldn't have wanted to live this way, to save a little bit of money. It turns out a neighbor I suspected has an infestation problem- does (and now, because of this powder, I can prove it). Since the neighbor won't do anything about it and the landlord refuses to even admit there is one (even when I showed him direct evidence), I decided to try and combat the problem on my own. My husband and I believe there is one spot where cockroaches come in (as we'd searched for any other entry points in the apartment) so I laid a thick line of this powder outside that door.At first, when I put the thick line down (and I don't think you have to lay the powder so thickly, I just wanted to, since I only worried about this entry point)- the powder, to me, had a somewhat strong smell, like a pesticide- or better said, an insecticide would. I do have a cat in my home and worried about him, even though I didn't put the powder down inside (as we had no real bugs inside, as we'd caught any that tried to get in), a bit was, of course, tracked in- even though we made sure not to step in the thick powder line I laid when we went out. Too, this little bit of powder tracked in didn't seem to affect the cat and the bit of powder was only left right by the inside back of our front door. When I went outside today to make sure the powder wasn't all over the place (and sweep up any straggling powder that got in the hallway with my hand vac)- looking at the thick line I found two cockroaches- the powder, being so thickly laid, had killed them right away it seems. It felt like a great defeat- not just knowing that this is where I was getting insect entry from, that I was able to catch these bugs and kill them so quickly with this powder- and that they died right in the powder that killed them- let me know that this product works. I can only deduce too, that when you don't lay it down so thickly- it will take a little more time for the insect to die (as I used almost half the bottle making this big, thick, line) over a few days. This powder was a great solution for a problem that a neighbor had, that was trying to be passed on to me (the infestation) and now, with the use of this powder at the only entry point (and I had my husband check all over the shared walls for holes, even around the floor too), it seems they can't get across it. The bugs that were caught were extremely large in size and one (that had died in the powder) was laying on their back with their legs up in the air. I was extremely happy, of course, to see the direct evidence that this powder works- the dead insects themselves, laying in the powder- letting me know that yes, it does work. It was actually a little bit of a better holiday today (as it is Halloween)- having found out that this powder was taking care of a problem that I knew I had- just no one would admit it (my neighbor, who has them), no one would do anything about it (like my landlord)- it was just nice to see that a fairly big cockroach couldn't get through a line of this powder without dying....but there is almost half the bottle making this line (because I didn't need it anywhere else), that I laid over a period of three days, as it got bigger and thicker (the line of powder)- so that's probably why they died right in it. So even if you don't lay these thick lines, this powder seems to kill insects- if it can kill a cockroach of a size (huge) I have never before seen in Ohio (where cockroaches are brown, yuck). It seems that all my insect problems start this way, at the behest of someone else. Several times in my life I have had this happen- whether it be a friend who isn't all that concerned about bugs- even when her problem gets so bad she's not only infesting her neighbors, but the people's homes she goes into (and a bad situation to learn a lesson about a friend's character), an employer who hasn't yet taken care of a bad issue of their own and doesn't alert his workers- or an older neighbor who doesn't want to admit a problem, doesn't want anyone to know about it or even admit it to the landlord- so when that issue begins to affect others, it's hard to even stay friendly with a person like that- because while they may not mind living with bugs- I do.To those who are looking for solution to bugs in their home- I can definitely say this product works, and am very happy that I laid it down as thickly as I did- so I was able to see the results of this powder quickly and really, so obviously- the cockroaches died right in the powder line- and they were no longer alive when I found them. After the first one I saw, there was also a second I discovered in the powder- I was just amazed to know that this line of powder could not be overcome by bugs. It made me feel safer and that finally, hopefully, I have found a solution to an issue that wasn't mine initially to take care of- but inevitably (and usually)- always becomes my issue (when I have the bad luck to cross paths with a person who doesn't care they have a “bug issue”). This powder works and next time I run across an issue (which will inevitably come from another person I happen to cross paths with in some way), I'll be getting it again.

Fragrant Diatomaceous Earth powder; unsure of effectiveness
I chose to try this for the two promises the description makes: it repels via natural oils scent, and it is not getting airborne. For the fragrance, it surely has a strong peppermint and eucalyptus scent. It is intense enough to have a high chance of being effective, though it is real hard to prove it is. At the very least, it adds a pleasant smell around the house. As for getting airborne, there is a visible difference on applying this compared to plain DE powder, this seems to stick to the surfaces and not get easily dispersed in the air. I expect the oils will evaporate and the powder will become less sticky over time, but for now the claim of less dust in the air seems to hold.I can only trust this works as well as plain DE. But, again, this claim is also hard to quantify. If it does work, the way DE kills insects is by causing micro-scratches in their exoskeleton which result in dehydration over time, so don’t expect to find a pile of dead bugs right next to where the dust was placed, the critters will walk away from the area and meet their end after a while. What puzzles me though is that the repelling effect and the demise via contact work in opposite directions: if repelling works well, the critters won’t get close and they will not get in contact with the dust, to get scratches. The strong scent will repel, but will not kill them. So it’s like advertising the danger zone for the critters to avoid and not get hurt. I am rating this at five stars, but I may revisit if its effectiveness proves not to be that great over time.

Amazing, natural, non-toxic bug killer with no harmful effects on humans, pets or the environment
This is a great tool in your insect control arsenal as it's completely safe, natural, non-toxic and won't harm people or pets if used correctly. I like that this contains essential oils with repellant qualities too, which should protect the spaces it's applied to on a secondary level. The puff applicator works pretty well to distribute the product. There are a few things to remember when using this product:-use safety goggles, a dust mask and gloves when handling the powder as it can be abrasive and effect your lungs if inhaled during application -this can harm vacuums with a HEPA filter, so use in areas you won't vacuum or outdoors-bugs must have direct contact with the powder to be killed, and it does not work when wet, but it will work again when dry-this will kill bees and other friendly insects so areas they frequent would be best avoided-you can use this on houseplants that get infected with mites or other pests-you should choose food-grade diatomaceous earth products due to the particle size being ideal for insect control, but don't eat it-this is a natural product from the earth that is not carcinogenic or contributing to toxic waste, so it's an excellent choice for your health, home and garden.

Good two-in-one product
It is what it says it is. I like that the bottle lets you spray the powder where you need it. I use both DE and essential oils in the garage and was happy to find a product that combined both. It is pet friendly and the mint sent will deter rodents. This review is for the product listed as, “EcoVenger DEssential Dust, Kills Bed Bug, Roaches, Ants, Fleas, Crawling Insect Repellent, Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth Mirco Powder Triple Powered Peppermint/Lemongrass/Eucalyptus."

Pest
What I love most about this dust is that it’s made from diatomaceous earth, which means it’s non-toxic and safe to use around pets and children. The application is straightforward, and the fine powder allows for precise targeting in cracks and crevices where pests tend to hide. I noticed a significant reduction in pest activity shortly after using it. The dust works by dehydrating the insects, and it’s satisfying to see it effectively eliminate unwanted guests without the harsh chemicals found in many conventional sprays.
