Attaches securely
I have 2 dogs that love to run in the yard and chase things away. I wanted something that was secure and would keep my dogs in my yard. The added security of the closure that screws shut does just that. I can't recommend this cable more.

Broke Within a Month
Both of the clasps have broken within a month. The screw no longer holds the clasp in place. Our dog has gotten off her lead and ran off twice because of this. Disappointed, because before they broke, it was working wonderfully.

The outer coating seems to wear off quickly
This is the 2nd one of this same cable for my small dog (he's about 10lbs) in about 3 months. The bright green outer coating on the cable wears off quickly, exposing the wires and cord inside. I had to buy one again because I need the certain clips that attach to his collar because he can figure out how to get out of a regular one. PLEASE make the outside coating more sturdy, especially if this is marketed for WAY larger dogs.

pretty ok tie out, but buyer beware
seems like a good tie out for my very strong pit mix dog, but the spring mechanism broke the one time he ran and jerked full force mayber after owning 1 yr. overall it seems strong and that spring is a good idea but for it to come apart....now the lead is without the spring thing, which isn't as safe anymore. Lead doesn't get kinks in it like cheaper ones. I have this lead tied to an super extra strong tie out in the ground. if the spring thing didn't break i'd give it much higher rating.

Solid Cable with Great Crimping for Extra Durability
Pretty good cable overall. The cable itself has a nice and even finish to it, and the hardware has a really nice glossy black finish that looks durable. The carabiner is a bit rough around the locking mechanism, specifically where the lock threads are. It just takes some playing around to get the threads to clear up enough for it to fully lock. But this is a really minor detail. It measures the full 50’, and the hardware seems sturdy enough to hold a larger dog. My dog is on the smaller side, but the claim is a 1000lb break strength, which is reassuring. One of the standout features is the protective sleeve on the clamp where the cable is crimped. This is a really nice touch for extra durability down the road. The crimping looks solid and will definitely hold up over time. I’ve had cables in the past with U crimps that came loose, but this one not only uses U crimps but also crimps the center of the fastener twice (you can see the two circular indents in my images). This makes it much less likely to come undone, which is a great feature if you're looking for strength. I’ve also dealt with plastic-fused crimps, but those just turn into chew toys when you're not paying attention!Pros:- Nice, even finish on the cable- Durable, glossy black hardware- Protective sleeve on the crimp for added longevity- Double crimping for extra security, which is a huge plus- Measures the full 50’Cons:- Carabiner lock could be a little smootherI definitely recommend this cable if you're looking for something durable and well-made to keep your pet safe. Even if they still insist and try to go beyond the cable’s reach!

Very good tie out
This tie out is great quality and comes with all the gear you will need to ensure you can setup a line for rover to be happy at the cottage or when camping. The cable looks well manufactured ( I couldnt see any defects when inspecting it) and the crimped ends are really well done with an additional collar over the cable to keep it all secure. The carabiners are well made and have a screw lock to ensure your pup is safe and secure. We use this between two trees and the attach the dogs leash to it with another locking carabiner we picked up on Amazon to allow our dog to run back and forth. Our dogs are big and at no point did I worry about the cable or the attachment points breaking.

A Sturdy, Versatile Cable with a Few Drawbacks
This cable seems like a solid, medium-duty option for those needing a good combo lead for their dogs. I like that it has carabiners with screw locks on both ends, adding a bit of extra security, and the coated cable seems durable enough to withstand some moderate pulling. However, I wish the hardware was a bit sturdier, big dogs can be quite adventurous at times. The gauge of the cable and hardware is a little thinner than I'd like, so I wouldn't recommend it for dogs who are prone to heavy pulling or testing their boundaries. It's a good option for medium-sized dogs or larger dogs that are more relaxed on walks, providing a good balance between durability and lightweight design. The price point is a bit high compared to other options on the market, so it might be worth shopping around before committing to this purchase. Overall, a decent choice for those seeking a medium-duty cable lead.

Great cable
This is a well constructed cable designed to hold up to 1000 pounds of force. The swivels on the end move freely and prevent the cable from curling up and tangling. The cables have carabiners at the end that can be securely closed to prevent them from opening accidentally. The cable is vinyl coated to protect it from moisture and rusting. Overall, this is a cable that is strong and will secure your dog while giving them room to move around. The cable is available in different lengths ranging from 10ft to 50ft and can be used in the yard or out at the campsite.
