I like that this comes in one package. The instructions could have been a lot more detailed as to how to connect the flag to the rope and complete the process. Putting the pole sections together was easy. The pole topper is plastic, hope it lasts in the weather. It states Extra Thick Heavy Duty pole construction, but I beg to differ. It looks nice but its not exactly Extra Thick Heavy Duty. I would say a 5 out of 10 on that. I was expecting really thick walled poles and a little more weight. I guess I'll find out later if its that tough. Flag is nice but would have liked a little larger size for this pole. It didn't say how to put the holder tube in the ground just showed a pic. We dug a hole, placed the pipe in ground then put some cement around exterior of pipe to secure (not inside pipe). The next day we put the flag pole in place.

This is an aluminum pole. Don't use a "standard size" flag on it. The wind will bend the pole. You need to use the flag that comes with the pole. It is lighter and a little smaller than the "standard" size flag. Just beware the pole is 20 feet long, aluminum, and not very strong.

This is a great replacement for my old wooden flag pole.The hardest part was getting my old one out of the ground. Installation was easy and assembly is slip together. The flag is good quality, the pole is sturdy aluminum and the look is great. The picture instructions are pretty clear, this 'ain't rocket science. Very happy with this. It went up in about an hour.UPDATE: It went up in the beginning of June and it is now September and the rope failed. It appears to have degraded due to UV weathering. The whole rope is fragile. Buy yourself a decent braided, UV resistant rope.UPDATE 2: It's now November a year later and I've had to replace the escutcheon plate with a metal one. The plastic one split in half, presumably from UV damage. Another note; if you don't mount this in cement, get a piece of schedule 40 PVC 2" x 4' and put it at least 3 ft into the ground. I put a 20" piece of 1 1/2" PVC inside to lift the pole to it's original height. The original mount didn't stand up to Cape Cod winds as it's only 20" deep. So far I've replaced all the parts except the pulley. The pole has stood up so we'll see how it makes it through this winter.UPDATE 3: Well it's 2023 and a windstorm in January folded the pole to the ground. The wind was 40 to 60 mph and too much for the pole. I probably should have taken the flag in but I didn't. I guess I'll get one that will take the high winds.

Not good at all. The package looked like it had traveled the world with multiple tears and a lot of tape. Maybe it was a returned item that had been resent? The pole sections had been nested inside one another and could not be separated. Several sections had ends that were bent, making them difficult put together. The quality of the flag itself was laughable - literally printed on a fabric that did not appear to be very weather proof. I would give it zero stars if I could.

I got this for my veteran dad for Father’s Day and he absolutely loved it. Installation was super easy. I DID NOT use concrete to set the pvc pipe it comes with as many others have suggested. I used a drill bit auger and dug the hole filled with sand and dirt and it’s as sturdy as can be. The pole flexes as it should at the top and doesn’t move as you get closer to the ground. This was the first flag pole set I’ve purchased and am extremely happy with it.

We didn’t know what size we would need.. but because it is in sections… it worked out great. ERY easy to install.. and it looks out over the great St. Lawrence Seaway!

This thing is pretty thin, time will tell if it’ll hold up to a thunderstorm. The base pipe goes in a thin wall pvc pipe. The flag is not a normal red color, and it’s paper thin.

Don’t know how long the plastic top pulley will last but it’s holding up in the wind and looks good
