We needed a heavy-duty door closer for one of our commercial rentals. Ordering this particular one was hassle-free and we received it in a timely manner. It worked perfectly!

Falcons got too expensive so I thought I'd try these. They are exactly alike.

It has a lot of adjust ability, but even on it's loosest setting the door is a bit harder to open. I used this on a light metal shed door, so it might work better on heavier doors.

The installation instructions are easy to read and understand even comes with a template for all three ways to install and for both left and right handed doors. It was very easy to see which way was going to work with my door. My only complaint is they don't explain what screws are what and when they are used. Also upon trying to put the arm on like the instructions says (parallel arm for a right hand door, pinion flat at b) it didn't match up quite right, the arm was pushing into the door, so we improvised and switched it. I personally stood for hours trying to figure out what all the screws were for and why the arm wasn't right. I finally gave up and gave it over to my boyfriend who put it up in 30 minutes! We used it on our backdoor so now I don't have to worry about the kids leaving it wide open in this heat or the dog getting out! It's working great cant tell it's there and shuts the door fully without snapping shut on our heels! So far it has saved me from having to run outside after the dog about 10 times just today!

I got this for my mother who is in a wheelchair and has a hard time shutting the door behind her--it is a life saver!You can set it to different 'speeds' and tensions, to either close the door very slow, or very fast.Pro: Easy to set up, but best to have 2 people.Can be set to different tension levelsWonderful for households with people who have mobility issues and have a hard time shutting the door behind them.Can be set to ensure it won't crush fingers as it closesAdded security, the door often feels locked after this is used. I'm not saying it'll fool a burglar, but it fooled me a few times.Con: Can make opening the door a bit harder as the door feels 'heavy' once this is installed, but it just takes a short time to get used to it. If this is for an individual who isn't terribly strong, you may want to fiddle with the settings until you find what works best for them

The quality of the product seems to be fairly good but the directions are extremely vague and insufficient. There are parts included in the box that are not shown in the installation manual and several references that are unclear. I reached out to the company and received two responses attempting to verify I actually bought the product but no response of answer to my inquiry. I'm a pretty handy person but really struggled with this to the point I nearly returned it.

Installation was a breeze once I realized I could just follow the template for the way I wanted to install it. The instructions felt a bit overwhelming and there wasn't a chart showing what screws went where which was a bit frustrating but easy enough to figure out after getting started. After some adjustments with the the sweep the door closes much better than it did with my old unit and I couldn't be happier.
