Hatchet, 8 Inches Small Hand Axe 1065 Manganese Steel and Beech Wood Handle with Leather Sheath

This little sucker has good hand feel, nice and compact, and looks good. The sheath is cheap vinyl but not unexpected, I'll make a new one from leather. It's heavy for "ultralight backpacking" but hard to get around that for this kind of item. It is stout enough to hammer on it with a rock without damaging it. Ideal for a short backpacking trip where weight isn't too much of an issue.

I love this little axe. Got a good grind on it (came very sharp) and it has some heft but light enough and small enough to carry in a shoulder bag. Really a great bargain! I was expecting it to be junk but far from it. Done a little spoon carving with it and it is fun to use.

The WICING 8 Inch Hand Axe is a sharp looking tool. The Hatchet will get a workout on the vine covered parts of the yard. Care must be taken when using this axe. It is extra sharp and commands your attention when in use.

I am happy with this axe/hatchet. I knowingly purchased it with a beveled edge. I reconditioned the edge for wood carving, and it worked better than expected.

Received today and wow not really impressedSilicone cover..cool cheap leather belt holster. Cool doesn't really fit well with the Silicone cover. Don't expect much for the price.Big gash and tooling marks on the head.It's not sharp and the head is very uneven as you can see. Meh just a tot toy i suppose.

This hatchet is so nice! Has great weight to it and is put together sturdy for long term use. This hatchet will last me years being very sharp and even coming with a sharpening stone and sheath. The sheath is a really nice leather and overall this is an amazing gift for anyone including yourself. I love my new hatchet and definitely recommend.
