Can't be beaten for the money
I've had my eye on a bottle of this for quite a while but finally decided to take the plunge when it went on offer for £22 and don't regret it in the slightest. Generally I don't mind Jim Beam Bourbon, you get what you pay for, which is generally a cheap standard bourbon (thinking here of the all round, general purpose white label JB) but I was pleasantly surprised by this offering from them. Okay it's not a touch on something like the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon but you have got to remember that that's twice the price JB's double oak. It's a solid 86 proof pour for the money, an easy sipper (neat, no ice) and has you readily filling your glencairn for just another mouthful, very 'crushable', as our colonial cousins would say and has bags of flavour for its low proof point. If you're umming & arring over buying a bottle then I'd easily recommend diving in, it's a great daily sipper and definitely well above the lower end JB white label, yeah it has that JB nuttiness but masks it well with the deeper oaky notes. For the price it's a winner for me, something different and saves me from draining my WRDO too early, which ain't such a bad thing, lol.

Delicious & Smooth
If you like a bourbon (as I do) and generally mix it with Coke )as I also do) then I'd highly recommend this.As someone who isn't a massive fan of Jim Beam's regular bourbon I was dubious about ordering a more 'fancy' version of their product. I needn't have been.As you can see it is much darker than their normal offering and from a taste perspective you can really taste the deeper, fuller flavour of the maturing taking longer. Now i'm not one for dissecting the taste profile that much of any drink acting like an expert but if you concentrate you can get some of those profiles that it mentions in the description (caramel in particular for me, along with the woody oak).As it's not much more than a regular bottle of bourbon I'd advise you to treat yourself. there are many other great bourbons out there in this price range but this one certainly stands up well

Excellent
I love Jim Beam White Label. I love it over ice with Canada Dry and a lime wedge. Now, this Jim Beam Double Oak is something else. I wouldn't put anything else in the glass with it.If you want a bourbon that offers you a bit more, this is a great choice.

Smooth, full flavoured whisky that could certainly turn your head from others
Being a spirit drinker, whiskey my tipple of choice, I'm always on the lookout to try a new take on the classic varieties (liqueurs I pass on). Recently confining myself to Jack Daniels I decided to jump into the other bourbon pond of Mr Jim Beam.Had the standard Jim Beam and Devil's Cut variations (also very good) in the past but this caught my eye and with it's good price and 43% vol strength it seemed like a good in-between bottle which you can't find on the supermarket shelves.PackagingDepends on the seller, some come boxed, mine came unboxed but we're not ordering for the box, are we?ColourSubtle Amber colour, a slight shade below Jack Daniels no 7 blendNoseWood (well it is double oak matured), slight fragrance of sandalwood combined with a caramel scentTasteSlightly sweet on the front of the tongue, caramel with a pleasant charred wood aftertaste, smooth with no burn on the way down, unusual for a 43% tippleWhile this certainly makes enough of an impression to make me want to try it again it doesn't replace Jack Daniels no7 or the Single Barrel (Angels Reserve) as my favourite bourbon hence the four stars.I hope this review helped you. If so, I would appreciate it if you clicked on the Yes button for a helpful review. If you have any questions, please ask. I am pretty responsive to comments
