Very good
My nephew and niece love this - constantly asking to play!Fantastic educational toy and easy to use. My only gripe is that the cards are not of good quality, and probably best purchasing alternatives. I would recommend the item, but the cards could be sourced elsewhere.

Fun educational toy
The media could not be loaded. My 3-year-old granddaughter was excited to start playing with this Unicorn Balance toy, but she didn’t like having to wait for me to separate each of the game cards from their carrier sheets, before we could get going. I was very careful when separating the cards, but unfortunately, some of them where more difficult to remove and I ended up with a few cards that were torn on the edge. There are 32 game cards and they are all double sided, so there is a total of 64 words and maths sums. Each card has a word with the corresponding image and there is also a maths sum. The set of 20 x mini unicorns are used to count and calculate the sums. There is a selection of maths skills involved, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The cups fit onto the end of the scales arms securely and they are a good size for holding the numbers and mini unicorns. The numbers one to ten are included, each with a different weight to provide a perfect balance when the number of mini unicorns in one cup matches the actual number that is placed in the other cup.My granddaughter likes to play with the different components of this toy separately as well, but she quicky discovered that only some of the numbers and unicorns will stand upright on the table. The stand that you slot the large unicorn into is a bit loose, so the unicorn slowly starts to lean forward during play and that effects the balance of the scales. My granddaughter enjoys playing this balancing game and is starting to understand how to make the scales balance evenly, so she is learning sums in a fun way. She is also recognising the printed words, so this toy definitely has some educational benefits.I have kept the box to store this toy in when it is not being played with, otherwise the small unicorns could easily get lost.

Makes mathematics fun.
The media could not be loaded. The JQLM Unicorn Balance Maths Game is a really fun way for young learners to engage in numeracy. The set contains the weighing scales in the shape of a cute unicorn, a set of numbers from 1 to 10, 20 little unicorn weights and a set of flashcards. The flashcards each have a simple maths problem with the answer, and also a picture with the corresponding word, so the set also gives the opportunity for a little bit of literacy too.The video attached to this review gives a very quick snapshot as to what it does. To play, place a number on one side of the scales and add the correct number of unicorns on the other side to get the scales to balance. It's also possible to balance the unicorns on both sides too.The one thing that lets the set down a little bit is that while the accessories are good quality, the scales themselves are made of what feels like cheap plastic. However, due to the educational value of the toy I will still give the toy 5 stars as this doesn't interfere with the function of the toy at all. This would make a great, (and I'm sure a much appreciated) gift. Fun and educational for all young learners.

Fun introduction to maths
The media could not be loaded. This is seriously cute! What a great introduction to maths! In the box, you get the balancing scale, the weighted numbers one to 10, the weighted unicorns to balance out against the numbers and maths flashcards. There’s no instructions included, but you don’t really need them, the scales need put together, but it’s very easy just push the base into place and add the two little dishes on either end. To use it, add a number in one dish, then simply add little unicorns into the other dish until it balances out. What a great way to get kids counting and starting to understand maths. It’s nice to be able to feel the different weights in the numbers, so you can get the kids to hold them in their hands and feel the difference between the numbers. The little unicorn weights are really cute and kids will just love dropping them one by one into the dish and then start to see the scales level out. Reminds me of how much my kids used to love baking with me when I had the old balancing scales and brass weights, they used to love adding ingredients until the scales levelled out, and I know my grandchildren will love this toy for the same reason. You don’t have to limit yourself to just use the numbers and the unicorns, you could get your kids to look around for items in the Home and see if they can find two different items that balance out on the scales.I’m not sure how much longevity of play this item will have, It will certainly be fun initially for my grandchildren, but I don’t see them wanting to play with it very often. My granddaughter is mad into unicorns at the moment, particularly pink unicorns so I know her face will light up when she sees this!
