Very satisfied
The seat arrived promptly and was the colour as shown. It is sturdy and fits well. It took a couple of minutes to work out from the diagram how the fittings should go together, then assembled in a few more minutes. Very pleased with it.

Misleading description
Packaging and delivery ok. You can tell this is 'veneered' and not solid wood - ok so it may have a 'solid mahogany core' (I doubt this very much - if it did- why veneer it!?) there is no way of telling until the veneer comes off or splits..

Heavy duty
This seat is very well made. It’s was heavy in the box when it arrived. It was packaged well. Very good quality. This is the second one we have bought.

Side to side wobbling.
Fitted the seat as per instructions of a YouTube video. However no matter how tight the fixing screws were - they themselves weren't moving at all, the seat continued to move from side to side. Was very stressed out thinking the seat had a fault or I'd done something wrong.My nephew came around and solved it eventually. The screws for the hinges themselves inside the round metal plate were loose and once tightened that stopped the side to side movement of the seat - thank God! Posted this in case it helps some other poor soul with a wobbly toilet seat just in case this is the cause.
