Necessary part of your a/c leak detection arsenal
I first used injectable uv dye to locate my car’s a/c leak, but couldn’t find any dye leak signs in the engine bay. Then I used this and immediately found leak detection in the footwells on both sides, showing that the leak is coming from the evaporator core in the dash instead of in the engine compartment. No way to see the dye on that leak location, so this tool confirmed what eyes could not.

Will save me a lot of money finding my autos a/c leak.
Can use on my cars a/c as well as the propane tanks for my generator.

Pretty good for the money
Generally good. Very sensitive, but gives false positives from things like new rubber floor mats, new electric motor when running (new AC evaporator with fan) possibly new plastic vent tubing.

Detects well!
So far 5 stars. Haven't used on job yet but I open my propane tank for my grill and it detected that right away with it barely open then I opened a jug of R410A freon just cracked it slightly and it detected that very quickly so I think it's going to be pretty good. Seems pretty sturdy and the case is nice so I'm looking forward to it hopefully being a good tool for the future

Slow to clear
This detects reasonably quickly, but takes a very long time to clear. The worst I tested it with was propane - detected within seconds, but when the propane was removed and this detector put in fresh air it took on average 50-60 seconds to fall back to 0 PPM.Come in a case with foam cut outs (nice) but the cut out aren't glued down so it moves around when you take the meter out and the charger and cable end up falling out and getting caught under. So close to a nice case, just missed one operation. It's usable if it's all you have. But it's just not quite up to par.
