A Perfect Flower for cutting
This is our second year for buying these Zinnia seeds (Zinnias are annuals). They make a cheery border for the sidewalk up to our front door. And this year we have put them in planter boxes and the seedlings started to pop up within a few weeks. We particularly like the multi-color.

Great germination rate.
All seedlings are growing nicely.

Be patient and nurture them and you won’t be disappointed!
It took these guys over two months to grow, planted at the end of June, pretty late but ai thought I’d try since Houston heat lasts well past our “fall” until about November. But to be fair, Houston has had boughts of scorching heat and drought and recently days and days of rain. So their growing environment has probably stressed them out. I didn’t make any special raised beds either, they were sprinkled around the trees in the front yard. Just tilled the soil a bit to loosen up our hard soil and added peat moss and gardening soil to the existing soil and mixed it up. (Not a professional, just trying things and having fun seeing how it works out lol.)They get mostly full to partial sun, zone 9A. Nothing special, directly sowed into a little peat moss and garden soil around our trees. I did an experiment and sprinkled the seeds around and then sprinkled peat moss lightly over them for one tree, and the other tree I sprinkled the seeds around and lightly raked them. Interestingly the unraked seeds germinated much faster and more germinated. Then when the seedlings were about 5-6 inches tall I spread them out and gave the Vigoro fertilizer. Babied them with water while they were small. They have been pummeled and seemingly knocked over by heavy rain, but with a little temporary staking using some bamboo bbq skewers, they got right back up. The ones that stayed knocked down most re rooted up the stem, we’ll see how those do, they have not budded yet.I’m pleased that after 2.5 months-ish I’m rewarded with these this week! So if they’re slow, be patient!!I’ll update with more pictures as they continue to grow and the other buds bloom! This has been quite educational for me and a joy. I am super pleased and highly recommend these zinnia seeds!Update 9/22/22The next set of zinnias have many more rows of petals and vibrant, but they’re still smaller 1-1.5 inch diameter—as you can compare the first two pictures when I posted the review with the last two today.I have not trimmed them yet, but will update again after trimming and the blooms that come after.Again, I am attributing the size to less than ideal conditions this season, but if this is how they appear with abuse, I am eager to resow in the spring to see their potential! Still highly recommend!Update 5/11/23These have reseeded into the same beds, grew in the spring, and now I’m getting some bicolored zinnias along with solid! Very interesting! Still not very big, maybe nickel to quarter to half dollar sized blooms, but still pretty colored and attracting bees and butterflies! This is the first set of blooms, will see how they develop through the season!

Seeds are great but had poor experience starting indoor.
This was my first time growing these indoors and I have to say that they were a chore to handle. I have been germinating seeds for decades and always tried my hand at a different variety of flower each year. From all that I have read about these it is recommended that you start them out doors and know I can see why! I started them in the typical manner that you would start any seed plant at desired depth, water and use a seedling heating pad to get them going. Well I had them in an area where they received about 2 hours of sunlight each day and they all sprouted within 3 days which is fabulous. The only problem was they quickly became very, very leggy so I had no choice but to replant them in a larger cup so they would not all break from being so top heavy. This package btw has over 300 seeds so my hands were full trying to get them all seated properly. With everything that I have read these plants are not a big fan of being teansplanted and I quickly learned that the information is correct, I lost nearly 30% within the first 5 days so I chaulked that up to me possibly damaging them in the process. In the next week the rest looked fine so I thought that I was out of the woods, well it's been 2 weeks since I transplanted and I have about 20% left. I'm telling you all this not to judge the seeds themselves because I believe that they are a good product. I just wanted to take the time to let others know that you are better off starting these outside. If there is someone who has been successfully at starting these indoors I would love to hear from you. I will be buying again and can recommend the product.

What a disappointment! Don't think this vendor is trustworthy regarding truth in advertising.
What a disappointment! I've been growing zinnias for years and these are pathetic at best! See the evidence in the photos I've posted for yourself. BUYER BEWARE! In the future I will be buying from another vendor, and avoid this company's products like the plague! I have rarely written reviews, but others need to know what a letdown these seeds are. After nurturing these seeds and seedlings to larger plants and investing precious time into their care and gardening process, I now have leggy zinnias with TINY blooms on their stems. What you get with these seeds is a whole lot of green foliage with miniscule flowers. Fun fact Outside Pride: Gardeners buy flower seeds to get beautiful blooms, not to just introduce more green to their gardens! For years I've bought Ferry-Morse and Burpee seeds. Both companies' zinnia seeds have produced successful harvests with an abundance of colorful blooms. It was a leap of faith for me to purchase from this company online as I had not in the past. But purchase I did believing their photos were true. So called "Outside Pride" zinnias are NOT much to be proud of!!! More appropriate name for this company- "Outside Letdown"! By the way, regarding the easy-to-grow rating, I did give these a 4/5. Why? All zinnias are easy to grow! It's not brain surgery. From my experience, their brand certainly is tainted. I will avoid buying from this company in the future.

Plant lots of them & stop mowing
They are taller but handle dry conditions pretty well

Good color, small flowers
Nearly all of the seeds we planted produced a wide color variation of healthy plants. Unfortunately, the bulbs were small. These did not do it for me. I will try again next year.
