Cuckoo [Blu-Ray]

Fair warning this is a very offbeat film so if you arent into that I would skip this title. That being said... I LOVED IT! So difficult to find movies that are unpredictable these days but this one hit the mark for me. Its very provocative in terms of the age old battle between nature and nurture without feeling heavy or tedious. The only thing i feel like they couldve worked on was showing us backflashes of some sort so we could have gotten a better image of the events leading up to the present day issues. Still great! I would say more about it but i dont want to spoil it for you!

This is a very entertaining movie that quite reminds me of another older movie and that's about all I can state without flat-out going spoiler. It's well-acted and wonderfully filmed, and while it's not 'jump scare' type horror, it definitely has a constant and underlying sense of dread and keeps you both guessing and cringing.This being said, you will have questions. Do not expect answers. You will have to fill in some blanks yourself.Unfortunately, I do not find any of the characters particularly relatable nor engendering much in the way of empathy. Every character strikes me as being fairly 'cold.'

While this isn't the scariest movie it has a really unique premise that does deliver a lot of tension. The acting is great by everyone. Dan Stevens has really just gone all out with weird roles and I love it. Don't expect to many jump scares but be prepared for some trippy visuals and wtf moments.

Interesting premise that is absolutely ruined by the overwhelming number of plot holes and poorly thought out sequences. You know it's bad when the villain has to monologue about why everything is happening, rather than you discovering it yourself by the way events unfold. Corny and predictable with way too convenient of an ending. Such a disappointment.

I saw Dan Stevens was in it, and I dug him in "Abigail". So I figured I'd give renting it a go, and I'm glad I did. It's imaginative without being too OTT. Quite a nifty little Euro body horror. Excellent performances and production value, and they kept it pretty compact and simple, which I found impressive. I made the decision to pre-order the Blu-Ray before the end of Act II of the movie. -- 9/10. Highly recommended.

I went in only seeing the trailer and not reading the reviews. I hope you heed my warning!Yes this movie has an amazing cast. It was one of the biggest draws for me.**SPOILERS**However, this plot is a mess. I found myself wishing this movie would end. At one point a hooded woman sticks her hand into what I can only assume is her vagina to pull out eggs to impregnate an unwilling host. She’s not the only one to do it! The birds need to survive!This is in the plot. Please watch something else.

The acting was good the story line was weird - not what I was expecting at all

This was great and felt like a throwback when they used animatronics over CGI. Fairly creepy amd an interesting story.
