I never thought it will be this effective, not only does it defrost meat bt also helps me in defrosting other items in half the time like cheese slices, frozen vegetables. Worth buying if you want to defrost food in a healthier way. And the drip tray is a really good addition to catch the water coming off frozen foods. One important thing is, its effectiveness is highly dependent on the surrounding room temperature and thickness of frozen foods. If the surrounding temperature is cold or the frozen food is very thick, its effectiveness reduces. Overall really happy with the purchase as it does what it says

Unsanitary to clean. Product came damaged. States in instructions do not use anything to clean but silicon Sponge . No-soap, no nothing no thanks .

What a great idea I wish knew about years ago when raising my kids. I can't believe how fast it thaws out any kind of meat I put on it! It fits about 6 hamburgers, 2-3 large steaks, salmon fillet, etc. It is only my husband and I now at home but I use it almost daily! Be nearby as it thaws things out quickly so you have time to marinate, etc., and I thne put it in the fridge until you are ready to cook dinner. The tray catches all the juices or liquids that run off. I hand wash it easily in hot soapy water and store it in the box so it doesn't scratch. LOVE IT!

It worked well. Its not too big for 1 or 2 people. It would be too small for a large family. The plastic tray underneath, to capture, is on the cheaper side. Overall it works and thats what matters.

I had no idea or faith in this product. All it said was that it defrosts food quickly. Ok, so I'm a sucker for gimmicks. I'm batting about 98% for junk. So I opened the the Amazon and inside is another box was a ribbed metal tray and a plastic tray. So in the junk pile it went. Well, today I invited a friend over for a Rib Eye Steak dinner. I bought a 2lb Steak 2 weeks a go and put it in the freezer. Dinner was planned for 6:00. Had everything ready, until it hit me that I hadn't taken the steak out of the freezer. So I'm about to drive to market when I remembered this defrosting tray. I figured I had enough time to try it out and still time to make to butcher. Mind you I'm holding 3" of solid frozen protein. OMG I place it on the tray set the timer for 1hr Timer goes off, The bottom half is completely defrosted and looking like the day I bought it. Flipped it over 5:15 this beautiful piece of steak was 100% thawed. I could not believe it. 1 4/5 was all it took. The steak was beautiful. So this tray will never see the junk pile again. How it works, I have no clue and don't care. Get it, you'll love it

a lot of reviewers were complaining that this only works when your average room temperature is around 75 degrees, which while i agree is quite silly, given the fact that if my home was constantly that warm i wouldn't need a defrosting tray in the first place. but anyways! i've found that this works consistently and reliably simply by running hot water over it and drying it off before placing the frozen meat on it. it seems to retain heat better than most things do, and certainly feels better than having to wrap my meat up in plastic bags and toss in the bathtub in a panic 3 hours before dinner is supposed to be done. for the price point i would say that it is worth the money spent. cleaning instructions seems to be a little weird, with them only providing a silicone mat/pad?? i run hot water over mine and give it a 'bachelors wipe down', aka a quick wipe with a soapy hot sponge, rinse, dry with a microfiber towel, and put it back where i store it. i've had this for a few months now and it is not warped and still works fine, so i don't think any of these things are doing any harm to it.

My in-laws have a great defrosting tray that they use frequently and it takes ~2 hours to completely unthaw chicken breasts and other meats.... this tray takes like 4 hours+ to thaw meat about the same sizes. Was under the impression that it would be a much safer and quicker process to thawing meat than leaving it out on the counter, in the microwave, or even in the refrigerator. -- not worth the money, in my opinion.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He was excited to test it out to see if it actually worked. We used it in the morning to defrost some bacon and to our surprised it worked! Clean up was easy, use was easy. We used it again for dinner to defrost some chicken and when we went to clean up, we noticed the base was already cracked. Both of us don’t know how that happened but we were disappointed it already cracked after 1 day of use. Overall, it works great, durability on the other hand is questionable.
